Classy decor (no surprise) with a great atmosphere whether it is busy or quiet. Drinks at the window while the sun is don gives you a grandstand view of the synchronised fountains. Drinks and apps reasonably priced with attentive service. We like to go there before heading out to other locations - the Atmosphere Grill is never available for the casual business traveller unless you can plan ahead (I men ahead ahead)

Was about to meet friends at Privé but came early so decided to get ahead of the cocktails. Hence i went to the lounge while waiting, greeted warmly by the receptionist and ask me to be seated, menu given and also recommended some drinks which i went for. Came fast and tasted great! Reason why has teo more till my friends came and move on to the club. Had a very good experience overall. Looking forward to come again next week.

As the Armani Lounge is our 'local' (i.e. the only place to get a drink within a 15 minute walk!), we are regular visitors - at least 2-3 times most weeks for the last couple of years. If you think that this means we get special treatment think again as it all depends on the staff on duty and the way you are dressed. Sometimes we get totally ignored and struggle to get a drink. When we do, being a high priced establishment they like to keep the opened wine in an ice bucket on a stand which is just placed far enough away from your seat that you can't pour it yourself. That's okay if they would come back when your glass is empty but that is not typically the case. And be careful if you order champagne or prosecco by the glass as, given the lack of clientele, it may have been open for a few days and therefore flat. When you tell them this, there is every chance they will argue with you before taking it away in bad grace (and typically bringing back another half open bottle to prove a point!). However I must admit that on other days they can be welcoming and attentive but it does seem that this staff doesn't last too long...

My recommendation is to walk a little further to Downtown Address Hotel for a drink at Zeta Bar - a place where they do "remember your name" (and your drink) and shake your hand when they welcome you back... fantastic ambience as well as cheaper drinks.

A very Armani fit out provides a space which is very stylish if a little lacking in soul. We went for drinks post a lovely dinner at Mango Tree nearby, arriving at around 10.30 on a Saturday night. While we were there the clientele never numbered more than 10 including us four. That didn't prevent an exceptionally underwhelming service experience. After being required to approach a waiter to get served at our table we were served our $100 basic level Chianti. This seemed to be quite a challenge for the poor guy who struggled to remove the cork. Not long after this, another waiter came around to remove the candles decorating our table, claiming it was the time for them to be cleaned! Clearly it wasn't close to closing time as a chap showed sat down with two Philipino "friends" just as we were about to leave. The final incident came when the waiter poured all the remaining wine from the bottle into one person's glass, a tacky waiter's trick to get people to buy another bottle of wine. When we expressed our dismay at this cheap ploy, he came up with some story about it being policy to serve the lady first (not sure about the other lady in the party). We asked to see the manager and this 22 yo Italian said that was him. He then made a condescending comment about the customer being right before storming off to the bar to polish glasses. Seems that staff are selected for being Italian rather than knowing the first thing about how to serve customers in a swish bar. Not good enough Armani!

We went to this hotel last weekend whilst on a week long family holiday to Dubai.

We visit Dubai often so wanted to see the hotel ahead of our next trip without the children.

We booked the lounge for lunch and from the moment we arrived we felt uncomfortable.....

The staff seemed brainwashed and almost robotic in their forced greetings. Whilst in reception, I asked to use the bathroom and was disgusted with the state that greeted me. I mentioned this to the "greeter" who looked liked I has smacked her face with a wet fish.....

Next we were virtually "frog marched" and escorted through reception to the lounge. The hotel managers exact words on greeting us was "i will put you out of the way"........

We were instructed to sit in the corner of the lounge, I assume where we could not cause to much disruption to the regular their regular clientele.....

At this stage, I must say, that the cocktails we ordered were spot on and the best we had in Dubai !

After sitting in our solitary confinement as outcast for a while, we were forced to complain about the spot as it was right under the air conditioning blowers and we were turning an unhealthy shade of blue...... After being fobbed off several times about an engineer looking at the problem, I decided to take action and moved our party to a large table in the middle of the main area where the other guests were sitting. Whilst this caused some flurry panic amongst are host robots, they couldn't do much about it as we had taken siege....... I must say at this point, whilst the ambient room temperature was much warmer in this area, the attitude of of our hosts chilled somewhat......

Finally, our lunch arrived only to be sent back as it was "cold".........

Their seemed to be a common "Cold" theme to this hotel to which i advised the Manager on our swift departure.

A real shame as it was not the dream visit I had in mind.............
