Rock Bottom carefully tiptoes the line between a nice restaurant in the early evening to a full on night club by midnight. I would be considered a regular guest, so I will write about my most recent experience. I sat in the back near the kitchen, as the band and dancefloor get very loud as it gets later. The also move some of the tables out to make room for more people. I got there about 11, but it was weeknight, so it wasn't that busy yet. I decided to try their monthly special (Latino). The starter (Kabab) came out excellent. The main course was a steak mixed veggies and fries. The veggies were quite good. The steak however was not. It came out on a sizzler, so it may have been medium rare when they took it off the grill, but it kept on cooking on the sizzler as it was brought out. It came out quite dry. I have had many steaks before and they were all quite delicious and cooked excellently, so this was an exception and not a rule. The dessert came out great. The music (DJ) and band were great as always. The security did a good job keeping the drunken folk from the bar away from those of us eating at the tables. It was pretty commendable. As the evening wore on I did get some random strangers asking to join my table, and one guy nearly passed out as he collapsed on the empty bench. Being a night club some people do get a little out of control. The security handled everything well. If you want a peaceful nice dinner, come early and leave before the crowd arrives. If you want a wild night out, come late and enjoy. This place is easily the most popular club in TECOM and surrounding areas.
