Always a delight to be back at the Hoi An restaurant. This beautiful restaurant tucked away in the Shangri La hotel is a real find. The service from start to finish is excellent, you always feel like a VIP when you visit here. The menu is not extensive but all their dishes are done to perfection. This time we went for the set menu. Little bites of heaven on a plate. Five individual little starters followed by steak, sea bass and prawn, with there wonderful flavours when they hit the taste buds. We accompanied the meal with fried rice. Dessert was truly sumptuous, a mango puree with coconut ice cream, just slips down. This was followed with jasmine tea. I hate to find any faults with the Hoi An but my one concern was they do not serve a medium sweet wine by the glass (they are available by the bottle, but my husband prefers beer) I find this type of wine goes best with the food e.g. Guwurztraminer or Riesling.
