I go hear every time I visit Dubai (and I usually stay in the adjacent Intercontinental hotel). I have been to the Relais in Geneva and this is actually better. Yes the place only serves one set menu - a basic vinaigrette salad followed by steak, fries, and their sauce. The steak arrives in two servings.
This is definitely not modernist, or light or farm-to-table...it is basic steak frites with a sauce. But I just love the basic menu and the preparation.
The real choice comes in the extensive dessert menu. I always get the rather outrageous vacherin ice cream - it is kind of enormous (much bigger than the one served in Geneva).
