After looking at loads of hotels, Hues came out on top and was not disappointed, would return there tomorrow if I had time, service was outstanding, couldn't ask for anything better. Great bars and evening entrainment, great breakfast, and restaurant was great . Very good value for money.

Close to old Dubai which was great for exploring the heritage area and shopping, but a cheap taxi ride to the other attractions. Rooms were well set out with lots of extras. Breakfast was great with full choice. Pool and gym was well maintained and pool attendant very helpful. Staff were friendly but the stay would not of been the same with out the daily help from Simpson bell captain who would advise us on everything from where to go how to get there and best time to go. We didn't have any problems getting taxi's but would suggest taking the hotel card with you as some taxi drivers didn't know the hotel location. Best tour we have had in many years was the Vintage land rover safari our guild was excellent making the experience more execiting, food, drinks, dancing, camels and falcon show were top quality, brillaint value for money.

Room Tip: second floor as there is a bar on ground and top floor and on flight path.

Booked this hotel via Hayes & Jarvis this is in old Dubai near gold souks not a great area very busy dirty too far from the high lights of Dubai apart from gold souks, but was recommended via Hayes & Jarvis but I won't book through them again not help what so ever all they have said is they will look into this, no mention that there is a night club in the hotel on the ground floor called funnily Mistake (dam right) we were on 4 the floor you can hear the thumping music til 3am everyday also guys coming out with I know this happens every where but prostitues not classy, rooms really nice & staff are lovely food was ok, if you want night life in your hotel and don't care where it is then this is the place forgot to mention also directly on the flight path too, if you want class stay al maroon Rotana down town I stayed before that's lovely classy hotel I would give that hotel 5*

The interior is beautiful, the ladies from the spa are very friendly and the concierge "John Paul" is the only person who knows what hospitality is. This guy is super friendly, helpful and deserves a job in the front desk.

The guys working at the front desk are arrogant, unfriendly and not helpful. We arrived in the morning and I know that check in time is in the afternoon and when a hotel is fully booked you can not go to the room early, I do get that, I worked myself in 5 star hotels for ten years in several managing jobs. But when you arrive after a horrible flight with a very sick husband and ask to register and all they is " you can not check in, check in time is a 2pm" you seriously have the wrong job. I did not want to go to the room I just wanted to register, leave my bags and ask if the could maybe call us or something when a room was ready. No good morning or whatever, just "come back later".

If you want to sleep at night (which I guess should be a hotels #1 priority) go somewhere else. They have a bar / disco and the music was so loud that you could not sleep. It is so loud that you here in the room, when I called to the front desk to check where the noise was coming from and if they could do something about it the answer was "sorry it is in our hotel bar / disco and will continue until 3am, nothing I can do about it, bye".
And I requested for a quiet room because we really needed a good sleep since we were travelling for a few days already to get home and I had a sick husband. If they receive this request and there disco is more important just be honest and let me know that a quiet room is not an option and I might want to book another hotel.

When we checked out the guy at the front desk gave me the machine to pay with my card but started talking with a friend while he was checking me out. Of course his personal life is way more important then the guests that pay so he has a job. No "how was your stay, hope to see you again, did you like Dubai, safe flight home", nothing!

- arrogant, unfriendly staff front desk
- terrible noise during the night
- awful location

I did send my complaints to the management, unfortunately they are just as arrogant as their staff, they are sorry and that's that. Not threaded seriously or with any respect for paying guests.

Most of my reviews are positive, you can check that if you like but when something is really really bad I also have to give my honest opinion about that.

Room Tip: don't go there, book a room in another hotel

Very nice looking hotel, but location is a bit off. What is most annoying is the enormous and constant noise of the in house lounge club! Don't get me wrong it looks great and is fun to hang out, but you book a hotel in the first place to have a nice room and a good sleep! The hotel desperately needs to make a choice on what they want, on the one hand they want to have a fancy lounge club, but in the first place it is a hotel. If they want both, Please spend sufficient money on proper isolation or take the risk of loosing a large quantity of your hotel guests!

Allocated room on 4th floor big mistake!! The Aurora lounge & Terrace is on the 5th and at night this becomes a nightclub that churns out the usual loud beats & noises from the disco until 3.00am in the morning so very little sleep until after this time. We also had people trying our room door whether this was drunks or thieves i do not know but it is definitely a security issue, giving strangers access to this disco actually gives them access to every floor in the hotel. The other complaint is the beds are very hard so if you have any medical problems with your back this could be an issue. Everything else about the hotel is pretty good, staff very pleasant & helpful, food good though drinks very expensive 75 dirhams for a lager & red wine. Facilities in room and other areas of hotel ver good. It's also very central for shopping with a 15min walk for Naïf Road and 25 min walk to gold souks there is also a free shuttle bus that takes you to the al ghurair shopping centre

Room Tip: Insist on having a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor as you are less likely to hear noise from any of the...
