I visited here previously, when my daughters were 7 & 5. They are now 9 & 7 and enjoyed the experience even more than before as they are now that much more confident. Since our last visit, there’s been a few changes to the experiences with tyre changing, driving licence centre and a traditional Emirati village amongst those things added.
We purchased an adult ticket and two premium kids tickets at a total of 550AED which is pretty hefty for a day, but it’s completely worth it. Amongst this was a total of 120AED to spend in food and retail and 100 kidzo dollars for each child. The kids then work in various roles to make more kidzo dollars. The only flaw in the plan is there’s not a huge amount of things you can buy with these and what you can buy doesn’t really reflect value correctly.
Saying that, the real value is in seeing the delight on the kids faces as they play their roles. Worth every single penny.
Final word has to go to the staff here. Every single one is well mannered, engaging, happy and positive. All wonderful with children and adults alike and a credit to the business.
If you do one thing for kids under 12 in Dubai, spend a day here.and stay with the kids throughout. You’ll get more out of it than they will!

My kids loved kidzania. It is a great place to spend the day and learn about different jobs. When the kids go in, they get some kidzania money to get them started then they can earn money or spend it in different tasks.
My advice is to go early, avoid the weekend and to wear comfortable shoes!

First of all - I love the premise of kids learning to earn and manage money to engage in life experiences. We are here on a quiet day, and the other expat parents are raving about the place. As one dad said, wealthy kids (which is exclusively the kind you find here - not very diverse economically) "get pretty much whatever they want", and this place pushes back against that just a little.
However my wife and I are sitting in a corner having been told a second time we can't sit with our 3 year old as she makes a necklace. It is billed as a independance builder for the kids, but actually is counterproductive since we actually can here to spend time as a family with our kids. It isn't really a safety or crowd control issue (though both were cited).
So - over all a reasonably positive experience for our 6 year old, neutral for our 3 year old, and slightly negative for the parents. 2 or 3 nice parents-welcome activities for younger children (crafts, games, building actities) would really augment and enhance a fun but mildly distasteful experience.

We visited during our last family holiday. The kids had loads of fun with mild exposure to some grown up jobs, earning money and spending it.
Good point of reference for me when describing to and reminding the kids "how money does not grow on trees"

We went to Dubai mall and didn’t expect to let our son go to KidZania.. but he began to get bored and asked to go. I felt really worried as he was on his own and thus didn’t have any friends but at aged 11 he felt confident to go in without us.

We took him in at 5pm and we keep checking on him, but he didn’t want to leave.. as our visit was during the Eid they stayed open until 1am.

My son didn’t leave until 1am he totally enjoyed himself and we enjoyed our stress free shopping Experience. It cost a little under £50 which includes a meal and a passport.. great value for money.
