I regularly go to this vegetarian restaurant in Discovery Gardens near Jebel Ali. Good location (close to Ibn Battuta Mall) and ample free parking. The menu is extensive, and prices are reasonable by local standards. I have tried their Rawa, Paper and Paper Masala Dosas, Iddly and Vada as I am a big fan for these items. Good portions with multiple side condiments. I always ask for podi (ground lentils and spices with sesame oil) which is only given with selected dishes. Try it.

Service is generally prompt although place gets crowded sometimes and speed may be slow. Still worth the wait.

If you are a fan of Indian Vegetarian dishes, try Saravana Bhavan Shola.

Cheers

Well this place is terrible and definetly a no go zone specially for the tourist, as you will risk spoiling your holiday. As a resident here in Dubai, I have visited twice and have vouched never to step into that place. The service is horrible and you can't distinguish between a waiter and a cleaner. The staff there obviously haven't heard about customer service nor seem inclined to check on the customers comfort. The dosa's are an apology and if you ever taste their ice cream, I can vouch that you will stay away from ice cream for a week. The ambience is terrible and I couldn't figure out the source of the stench.
If you are looking for an authentic south Indian breakfast, there are better places in the vicinity staring with Venus Restaurant which is just 3 blocks down the road.
