“Nice but has its frustrations”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

We went here because the tourist information on the Atlantis website made it seem very interesting, but left with mixed feelings. Yes, there are a large number of tanks and a very large range of fish to see, and the positioning of the viewing glass allows you to get really up close to the inhabitants. Plus there is a really huge tank with many viewing windows filled with fishes of all sizes and types. But, we were really frustrated by the lack of information on any of the displays as to the names/types of fishes in each tank - there was no information on any of the tanks - its great to see the fish, but if you can't find out what they are .....
To summarise, it has a good range of fish, the smaller tanks allow you to get really close, and the large tank is awesome, but its not that well laid out and the lack of information is a real disappointment.

“nice but over priced”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

there was nice and different types of marine life. We found it really over priced for a limited area. There is no information on any of the sections there. When we asked the lady guide there for information we were told that we can ask for a paid tour guide !
It is small compared to many aquariums around the world with limited number of marine life. Without information written beside each compartment , you can finish the visit in 30 minutes !

“Just can't get enough of it!”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

On our trip to dubai this April 2013, Me and my family along with a friend took the aqua venture rides pass. I must share that this waterpark is by far the best! They have craziest rides. One being the LEAP OF FAITH. Where you almost slide at 10degree from around 50 meters. I and my friend took the leap of faith ride first and boy thats one crazy thing to do!!! You fall and SPLASH you go in the water. Apart from this there are 6 more activities and one of them is the SHARK ATTACK. You slide in the water and you pass through a glass tunnel surrounded by shark. Well for some secs it makes you feel good. The RAPIDS is a good thing to do. Overall great experience.

Tips for a good experience
- Book in advance through online to avoid que. They also have a discount ticket if you book one day in advance.
- Do not forget to carry towel as they charge extra for it
- Carry a small bag to avoid locker fee.
- MOST IMPORTANT - all rides require an air tube which is freely available. Once you get it dont leave it till you are done with your rides.
