Most parts of our experience were annoying, from the near impossible telephonic booking process to the wait at check out while they sent someone to the room to make sure we hadn't broken anything. If you prefer not to be treated like a gypsy perhaps steer clear of this one. When I wouldn't to leave my ID at check in, Les Misérables at reception made a quick call for someone to clean out the minibar. (No sweat, AED45 a whisky is stupid and the temperature inside the fridge would melt your smile anyhow.) Did you drive here? You must pay! Why? Because the on-premises parking is owned by someone else. Then- unhelpfully - you can always park in the street. Nice. The bathroom smelled like gym socks and had black mould growing in the corners, you only get one pillow to start with, beds lack back support, the TV had only one static-free channel, wifi was pointless, we had to search for towels at the pool (eventually finding some in a bag in the gym), the 'sumptuous buffet lunch' comprised lacklustre fish sticks, bland chicken curry and chewy vegetable chowmein. Upon arrival for our booked relaxation treatment, I was forced to go downstairs to reception to get a copy of the booking because a simple call for confirmation wasn't enough. Breakfast was the one redeeming feature, if you like everything covered in syrup.
The neighbourhood is nice. Some reasonable places to eat if you take a walk.
