The hotel is located near the Dubai Mall. You can walk there along the highway in about 10 minutes or take the hotel shuttle. It's quicker to walk as the bus goes a contorted off road route and drops you on the other side of the road anyway.

Rooms are what you would expect of a business hotel. Basic but sufficient. Clean enough though and quiet given the amount onf construction ongoing around the hotel.

The hotel is not really anywhere near anything so you need to go out to do anything. No taxis seem to come by so you will have to wait for a taxi dropping someone else off or pay the premium of the hotel cars. This is quite a drawback of the place.

Breakfast was OK but not extensive. Same for the lunches.

We did not see anyone using the pool. It's not the kind of place you are going to go to for the pool. The bar looked uninviting and was very cold so we left there rather quickly. Reception is functional. We spent ages waiting for someone to answer the phone when calling the 'one stop service' button. In the end it was quicker to go down to reception as no one ever answered.

We were there as I had a training course there so it was convienient. Other than unless you can get a really good bargin staying there I can't really see a reason why you would want to go there over and above all the other hotels in the same category in better locations near by.

All in all, stay was OK (for Dubai) but I can't say I'll be rushing back.

The Radisson Blu is in a great location near the Dubai Mall. Our family stayed on New Year's Eve, and the front desk was unable to follow through with our reservations for two rooms next to each other with queen size beds in each. Also, it is important to remember UAE ID cards and/or passports for each guest--even for children over the age of 18. The hotel was quiet and has nice views. Overall an average stay.

The room was clean and very comfortable but what brings this place down is the service. The staff were so boring. At our check the receptionist was a little bit rude when we asked what view we were going to have! It wasn't like she was busy - it was just a simple question. Due to this, we wouldn't stay here again. The location was good, it would only take 10 minutes to walk to the Dubai Mall but in the summer it was just too hot! They provided a free shuttle when we were there. Also the buffet breakfast was good - the restaurant staff were much more friendly. If you get a good rate, go for it. Otherwise maybe shop around :)

I was in Dubai on business during Eid Al Ahad and was booked at the Radisson Blu downtown. I could hardly get any sleep because of noisy neighbors. But by noisy, I really mean screaming nutters. Anyway it is the way in which the hotel addressed the situation that was unacceptable. The following day I tried to speak t the hotel manager but I'm still waiting. Also one staff to cope with reception desk resulted in long queues and a lot of frustration.

Great buffet breakfast. Comfortable, clean room. Free parking and wifi (on one device). It's definitely not worth taking a taxi to Dubai Mall. It's an easy ten minute walk (though it'd be too hot in summer). That said, parking at the Mall is easy so I'm not sure it's worth staying this close to the mall. There are good, cheaper places a short drive away.
