“Delicious!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

A friend recommended this restaurants as the best Indian of Dubai! All I can say is that the food is amazing! Very varied selection of dishes, food quality is top notch though it could benefit from a bit more ambiance as the restaurant is a bit lacking in music and liveliness.

“Lunch at Asha's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

Had lunch at Asha's with my daughter today. Ambience of the restaurant is great and pleasing. The staff at the restaurant were courteous and prompt and helpful. we are vegetarian and we ordered vegetarian platter as starter which had paneer ka soola, kurkure mushroom and veg kebab. The taste was amazing. For the main course we ordered karahi mix vegetables and dal makhani which were heavenly in taste. The Alchemist (non alcoholic cocktail) was a perfect combination. The cutlery was very ordinary and seemed out of place for the standard of the restaurant

“Unbelievingly over priced and the most awful food we ever had”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

Biriyanis are burnt, over cooked, with too much disgusting spices,- not at all edible . The fruit cocktails turned to be "mock" tails and tasted like cough medicine syrups with very less quantity and too much crushed ice - a camouflage. Hot drinks are also distasteful and felt fake .Naan and butter chicken is average. High price for poor quality food. Even small town restaurants serve better food than here. Never ever go there in my life and advice my friends and relatives about the same.

“Great if you're a british imbecile, mediocre but expensive otherwise.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

Hard to call this one.

The staff were excellent. Very helpfull and very attentive.

The food itself was overpriced but of a good quality. Nevertheless, in a town like Dubai, where the indians remain indians and there are so many authentic options, I just dont see the reason to pay such a heavy price. Particularly when you can simply go to Nasir Square or Meena Bazar and get more authenticity at a far, far more reaonable price.

I guess my verdict is that if this was a restaurant in Europe somewhere, it would be excellent. But since it is in Dubai where they have so much real indian food, this is best reserved for British tourists who don't know any better.

If you are from dubai,i recommend this place if you have foreign gueste whom you want to impress with a posh indian place and elaborate looking meal. If you want the real deal, save your money and go elsewhere. Its also relevant to bear in mind that the cocktails here are good and most indian restaurants in DXB dont have a liquour license.

In any event I'm glad I went but I'm not going back.

“Good expensive Indian food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013 via mobile

A big expensive menu, but really good Indian food. They serve some interesting cocktails too. The elegant ambience just makes it perfect for those special occasions. Worth trying.
