This property is located in the DIFC. Nice, airy reception area and lobby. Very clean, friendly and professional. The room was upgraded to a junior suite, which was very large and comfortable with a large couch and sitting area. The king size bed was excellent. Bathrooms were large and very clean. Well decorated. The gym was a plus, it was large and had a great assortment of weights on top of the usual cardio machines. Breakfast was outstanding, very fresh and a great variety of different foods. I would recommend this property for your next stay in Dubai.

Well, this is where the service standards for a hotel become apparent. When we, it was a group of us, had just reached the Ritz Carlton end of August, we were told the reservation system was down, and we would have to wait. While that seemed to have caught the staff entirely nonplussed, some were helpful enough to suggest a rest at the tea shop, with complimentary tea of course, which mitigated the situation somewhat, especially as it took about half an hour.

Well, you do not expect such things to happen in a Ritz, which is actually one of the two for the brand in Dubai. A luxurious city hotel very conveniently located just off Sheikh Zayed Road, it closely approximates a business hotel, only with luxuries thrown in. A large hotel with a room inventory – 341, besides long stay residences, it comes with all the facilities expected of it.

It is close to Dubai’s new centre, including Dubai Mall and the Burj al Arab, and not too far from the sea, though quite a distance from Jumeirah. However it is not walking distance to the Dubai Mall, but city cabs are plentiful just outside the hotel and inexpensive. The metro station is a short walk away.

My room, a standard one, was excellent. It had a sea view, though of course other skyscrapers will give at best a truncated view of the sea. It was comfortable, temperature adjustments easy for the AC, figuring out hot water or switches / controls not very challenging either. Wash room extensive and comfy. Amenities were by Asprey’s Purple Line – much appreciated. Adaptor, table, sofa, iron, coffee maker – with three Nespresso flavours, complimentary water, spacious cupboards, slippers, robes, towels, art – all good. TV has 100 plus channels, though of course you may still find what you want! Just a thought – the rack to keep one’s luggage on is not the most sturdy, and one has to be careful while handling that. Wifi is not free, and that was not a good surprise. The lifts can be a little far from the room!

Staff is multinational, and largely courteous. I was especially happy with the Bangladeshi housekeeping staff, though the restaurant staff at breakfast looked hassled. Breakfast was okay, standard with options in continental, a bit of local Arabic, limited oriental and quite a few Indian options, including bread pakora one day! Has three restaurants, a spa, a smallish pool, private terraces.

The only disappointing thing about the hotel – it does give the special individual feel of a Ritz. Instead it is a good business hotel – a standard many lesser priced brands can provide. Maybe suites better, but public areas still unexciting. Good for business traveler, but nothing special for a tourist.

Room Tip: No real room view, but still prefer sea view

At first I thought that it is strange to stay in the financial district while I’m in Dubai for holiday. Then I got there and realize that it’s the best place to stay while in Dubai. Close to the Dubai Mall so you’re close to the start of the Hop on Hop off bus tours. It’s not the newest en tallest hotel in the city which means that everything is running smoothly. No more teething problems, long lift rides or getting lost on floors but with the luxury of everything the new hotels has to offer. Buffet lunch was really value for money and the atmosphere at the outdoor restaurant in the evenings (with a cocktail and an Arabian pipe) will give you a perfect blend of Arabian/European feel. The sounds and smells of an Arabian night but with food and language you will understand.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel as I was on a work trip to Dubai. Rooms were big, clean and in good condition. I found the staff friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for anyone working in the DIFC.

Stayed at this hotel during my last visit to dubai, location is very good for people who are traveling for business as most of financial places are walking distances and also downtown dubai is very short distance by taxi.

they gave us a very big room ( perhaps the biggest normal room i have stayed yet). good spread of breakfast but there was not much of options for vegetarians but the staff made couple of things from kitchen apart from served in buffet.

The concierge was very attentive and helped us to get tickets for Burj khalifa.

The only thing which i didn't liked was basin area was bit cramped compared to other bathroom spaces and other bedroom areas.
