Definitely an interesting place to wander about, so many different spices all available for sale, great photography and close to the Gold Souks as well.

“Good but you need to know”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

Very impressive collection of spices. You should know the spices and have some idea bout what to buy. We were taken to a shop by our tour guide. They were selling the cheapest form of saffron at AED 15 per gm. going upto 25 AED per gm. We got 5 gm from another shop for AED 30 after a lot of bargaining. Still unsure if we got a good deal or poor quality or less than 5 gm? But we have used it now and the quality is good indeed.
Bargain hard and prepare to walk out and try another shop.

Compered to other Souqs arount the globe this is the smallest one ive visited so far, and very expensive! But its allways nice to walk around but if your gona buy something do it in the supermarkets instead, a lot cheaper and the same quality..

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014

The souk doesn't live up to the hype. I found this to be disappointing in that it doesn't match the type of spice souk you can find in Northern Africa - geared very much to the tourist in my view and even some of the packaged spices were past their sell by date! Not worth the visit unless you want to say ' I've been there'

“Worth to see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014 via mobile

Gold, parfume and spice souks are very close and almost spill into each other. You can buy spices for weight or in souvenir cases. The traders are importunate and irritating, the spices are smelly, the streets are narrow. Watch your bag:)
