I stayed here for 7 nights in July. Like others I struggled for a few months in trying to pick a hotel to stay in Dubai. Each one seemed to have its pros and cons to it whether it be location, facilities etc. so finally I decided to go with this one and I am so glad I did. From the moment I arrived I was welcomed by the most friendly concierges who took my luggage and I didn't see it again until it was in my room. The check in was smooth and also very friendly. Once in my room I was also delighted with it. Modern, spotless and spacious. I particularly liked the evening 'turn down' service. Its nice to see hotels still doing this as its not so common anymore.
I was there while it was quite hot, 45 everyday and I dont think it dropped below 40 even at night. It was nice to have complementary bottles of water topped up in the room each day. Once inside the hotel, the temperature was always set to a nice cool setting.
Breakfast was great, a wide variety of everything from continental, to cooked, fresh selection of breads, even sushi and Indian dishes.
I ate dinner a couple of nights and cant fault the food neither. thoroughly enjoyed it each night. I think everything in Dubai is away from something if you know what I mean, places to go all seem to be apart from each other so no matter where you stay you will need to travel to get somewhere or another, but the transport system is so good and the taxis cheap enough its not really an issue. The Metro is across the road and there's always a string of taxis waiting outside and a huge shopping mall across the road also for any bits you might need.
I have to say I also loved the free shuttle to the beach club, the place is great. Only thing was as it was Ramadan it was pretty quiet there so I will definitely return to check out the Beach Club in full swing :)
