after reading about it on TA we went for a lunch and the next day for dinner, and the food was very good. There are many similar places to eat and this is a great choice. Its impossible to leave this restaurant and still be hungry. They have a lot of people working but dont expect it to be fast food/fast lunch. You will need a minimum of 45 minutes and they make most of there stuff from scratch. Order som hommus and eat it with the bread and vegatables that they will serve you. If you order hommus, main dish and a soda/juice its aroud 50-70 dhs. That was our average lunch/dinner cost per person while we stayed in Dubai. You can eat cheaper but then its fast food or "a hole in the wall places " you have to look for.

My family and I had a quick dinner at Al Safadi before Christmas, and we were not disappointed. We kept to fairly middle-of-the-road fare, such as Shish Tawooq, or Chicken Shawarma, and especially the former had us exchanging satisfied looks.
The staff is normally very busy, but everyone is polite and helpful none the less.
The dessert we ordered, a type of katayyif, was probably the only unsuccessful note, as it was filled with cream which felt somehow out of place.
However, all in all, throughout recommendable.

We saw the reviews for this restaurant on trip advisor and so walked across from the Hilton Dubai Creek.
We found the restaurant quite easily (or so we thought!) but on sitting down were offered a basic burger type menu.
On asking if they served Lebanese food we were then offered a proper Lebanese menu with English translations and proceeded to order and eat a very nice local meal for about ten pound s a head. The food was excellent - we had a mixture of dips and bread to start followed by mixed grills and rice dishes.
However as we were about to leave our waitress suggested we should pop into the main restaurant a few doors away to watch the chefs cooking at the open kitchen - so we hadn't actually made it to the main Al Safadi restaurant but had apparently eaten in their smaller cafe.
The full restaurant looked very nice as well - busy with lots of atmosphere
That said our meal was really enjoyable in an interesting and friendly environment!

Recommended by the hotel. This is a great inexpensive place to try arabic food freshly prepared. Three of us scoffed for England at a tenner each. Very clean, very friendly and you watch the cooks cooking! The toilets were cleaner than the the 5star hotel we were staying in. The menu was extensive. We could not do the 1kg of BBQ meat as we had eaten too many different starters so the server arranged for 0.5 kg for half the price, easy.......if it is not obvious ask and they will do everything they can to oblige. All the fish is displayed and I have never seen prawns as big anywhere, the are for next time.
