Owner description: Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one of the most captivating attractions in Dubai. Located at The Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world, offering a memorable journey into ocean life. With capacity to hold 10 million litres of water, Dubai Aquarium is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world and it illuminates the marvels of the ocean floor, showcasing one of the most diverse collections of aquatic life. Located just above the aquarium, Underwater Zoo brings visitors up close with penguins, piranhas, crabs, water rats, sea horses, jellyfish and plenty more. A fascinating new addition at Underwater Zoo is King Croc, regarded as nature's rare phenomenon and one of the world's largest reptiles - at over 5 meters long and weighing an imposing 750 kg plus. Underwater Zoo regularly hosts innovative exhibits. One such exhibit, 'UAE's Night Creatures' presents the experience of nightfall in the desert as creatures of the dark.

“Just take pics from outside!!!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Don't waste your time. I wasn't really impressed with the aquarium or underwater zoo, its over hyped. It was really small. I think I wasted my money, its best to just take pictures from outside like the locals.

“Dubai Aquarium”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

You may visit this during your visit to Burj Dubai, Dubai Fountains and the Dubai Mall. But you need to keep about one and a half hours to see this specataculat collection of underwater life. When you walk through the glass caves, you can see the large fish swimming over you. Occasionally you can see scuba divers inside the glass cases alongside the fish. An enjoyable site for adults and children

“A Sight In The Mall You Wouldn't Miss”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

The huge aquarium definitely caught my attention as my family and I walked through it to go upstairs to see the wildlife. I find it confusing that they're not internally connected and we have to use the mall's escalator to go up to the zoo and then used the same escalator to come down to the aquarium again. You definitely should walk through the aquarium's tunnel. It gave me a feeling like diving into the sea and able to see fishes all over without carrying the tank and breathing through tubes. If this is your first time visiting a huge aquarium, I think it's definitely interesting to see many fish species and amazing to see huge stingray and sharks. Although, I've been to a huge aquarium in Lisbon, Portugal already and I find this Underwater Zoo small.
