I have stayed here at least 5 times over the past few months when it was under Pullman ownership but as i now find its the Sheraton a new review is required.
All my previous data was excluded in the hotel deal so no welcome back and data storage, the reception was ok but they wanted me to accept a Sheraton loyalty programme and allocated me a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the mall rooftops, all my previous visits had been front line towards the Burj and beach.
The biggest difference was the sleep experience, Sheraton removed all the beds and replaced them with there own regigistered sleep experience bedding, pillows and matress....it was evident immeditately and was the worst nights sleep i had had in along while. The pillows where just like hard sponges and no matter what i could not get comfortable.
Dining was a good standard with plenty of breakfast choice but despite having to pay higher room rate because the hotel was busy i was told i had to add breakfast to my bill, this was not explained at checkin (just wanted to sign me up for loyalty programme)
so the hotel wnt from an excellent overnight option to an expensive average option and therefore i will not book againMore
