This hotel has wonderful rooms with very nice facilities. The view from all rooms is amazing whether you are a fan of horse riding or not. The building is well designed and beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel whether you are on a business trip or in dubai with family on a holiday. Staff are very friendly, from managers to waiters and room service. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms have the same view

A quite astonishing looking structure, this hotel is a luxurious if slightly off-piste choice that's located 20 minutes drive east out of town (from the Dubai Mall turn-off) and is well worth a look if you can get a good deal.

It's an enormous establishment with some of the most beautiful rooms I have seen in any Dubai hotel. Sexy as anything, the huge beds, sunken baths and wet room showers would make Hugh Hefner proud. I understand the comments below about the clinical feel but one person's souless is another person's minimalist chic

Incredibly welcome staff and a very good car valet service make the public face of this hotel very acceptable indeed.

Food lets it down very slightly in comparison to some of the other 5 star big boys but generally if you can get a good deal on the rooms, you can enjoy yourself hugely here. Very very good for a change if you don't fancy being stuck on the Sheikh Zayed Road.

Room Tip: Make sure that you have a balcony facing the racecourse - the view is incredibly tranquil.

A typically vast Dubai hotel but uniquely situated on the edge of a racecourse. Staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. The rooms are superb. As it appears to have been designed by a moonlighting airport terminal designer , everything is made from glass, chrome and marble. Because of the vast internal spaces the place lacks any atmosphere or soul. The ceiling in the steak restaurant (superb food) is a shocking fifty feet high, with an appalling mix of styles of decor (including ludicrous louis quinze chairs) - a design nightmare, qualifying for the Worst Design award. But these quibbles aside, this is a great hotel.

I stayed at this hotel in Dubai for 2 nights on our stopover back from Australia in November. I travelled with my sister.

We researched where to stay in Dubai and found that this hotel was a great price and compared to some of the other hotels in Dubai a bit of a bargain for what was included! We knew that the location was a bit further out than some of the hotels in Dubai but it simply isn't a problem when the hotel offers free shuttle buses to all the major attractions of Dubai. It does seem on first appearance that you are in the middle of nowhere but there is also a great view of the city from the upper floors of the hotel.

We arrived early morning at the hotel on a flight from Brisbane, this hotel offers a 24 hour check in at certain times of the year which was another reason why we chose here. We made the hotel aware of our early check in time beforehand and we were checked in and shown to our room within 10 minutes of arriving. Nothing is too much for the staff here, they want to assist you with everything they can. Our luggage was brought to the room and placed in the wardrobe within minutes of us getting into our room.

We had a Twin bedroom with balcony overlooking the racecourse, fantastic views and outstanding bedrooms. We had 2 twin beds, a large flat screen TV, digital safe in the room, large bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower and toilet. Everything in the room is remote controlled with touchscreen panels in the rooms. When I say everything, I mean everything, even the toilet was electronic! Curtains were opened and closed with touchscreen panels on the walls and all the lighting. There was a stocked minibar in the room but we couldn't find any prices stated, we ended up paying 15 dirhams on check out for a can of 7up.

Breakfast was included in our room rate. As we only booked 2 nights stay we were obviously only entitled to 2 breakfasts but there wasn't a problem in catering for us on our third morning there before we checked out for the airport. We paid 140 dirhams for breakfast each, approx £30, on check out. Breakfast was buffet self service and there was a wide range to chose from. The breakfast staff were constantly on hand for tea and coffee etc. Service here is outstanding.

We used the free shuttle bus from the hotel to Dubai Mall, it departs twice daily and returns twice at reasonable times. Everything is explained on checking in to the hotel and we were totally informed during our stay here. Dubai Mall is the mall which is close to Burj Khalifa and you can purchase tickets to the top to the observatory, unfortunately the time slots were all already sold out by the time we had got there and we were unable to come back due to the shortage of time in Dubai. I would recommend seeing if you can pre book this if it is something you are interested in doing.

We had already pre booked our trip to The Atlantis The Palm for a dolphin encounter but concierge at the hotel can do this for you too. The hotel does provide a daily shuttle to Atlantis but as we had alread booked, we needed to be at the Atlantis before the shuttle time so the hotel arranged a taxi for us which cost approx 60 dirhams and took around half an hour. We did try to get the shuttle bus back to the Meydan but as we didn't get the bus in, we couldn't quite find where the bus picked up from as it is not the same place that we got dropped off for our dolphin experience, I believe it is at the main entrance of the hotel but the Atlantis is huge and pretty difficult to find places!! We got a taxi back to the hotel, a quick tip, there is a taxi queue at the main entrance of the hotel which is a lot quieter than the queue outside the aquaventure entrance for obvious reasons, the aquaventure guests all try to leave at the same time, 5.30pm when the guest tickets expire.

I would certainly recommend visting The Atlantis The Palm while your stay in Dubai. We purchased the Dolphin Experience at around £100 which included the aquapark Aquaventure which we took advantage of after the dophins. We also purchased entrance to The Lost Chambers aquarium at around £15. All day lockers can be purchased for approx £7 too.

The hotel also runs a shuttle to the Mall of the Emirates but we didn't have enough time to fit that in, that is the Mall which houses Ski Dubai so I'm sure I will try and get back there at some point to check that out!

The hotel has horse racing on every Friday, as well as main racing events throughout the year, but as we were at Atlantis on the Friday we didnt get back to the hotel until gone 6pm and it appeared the races had finished, I assumed that they had been on as the course floodlights were on and the large screen to watch the races on. The balcony would be a perfect view of any of the races there and I imagine the atmosphere at the hotel on major race days would be fantastic!

We had no problems checking out of the hotel, as we had an early check in, we should have checked out at a simliar time but we spoke to reception who had no problems with us staying later. We checked out at 11am and the hotel arranged for a taxi to the airport for us.

I would not hesitate in returning to this hotel and I do intend to travel again to Dubai to see everything we didnt manage to fit in this time around!

Room Tip: I would be suprised if there were any 'bad' rooms at this hotel!
