Had an great night in Saffron, Atlantis Hotel, Dubai. Cuisine from all over the worls. We went on the seafood night anf tasted every kind of seafood you could want, cooked to perfection. The Sweet area was mindblowing. Even a section for Haribo sweets!!!!!! We had a birthday cake presented in a unique way by the staff. You have to be there! on the mini gateaux section try the green tea and raspberry cake. What an unusual and lovely taste.

“Good value I thought”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

This is the first time I have visited Saffron for a couple of years, and I was very kindly taken there by friends. I had heard mixed things about it. It is adults only, so no kids. It took a while to get in, which I did not enjoy, and they struggled to find our reservation, further holding things up. Why they cannot just have multiple people checking in brunch guests at these hotels beats me. They know that 500 people are all going to turn up at the same time as they all start around 1230, be better organised people, even email out some kind of token, or code which can be scanned from a phone...we all know the technology exists...anyway...The food was excellent, really original ideas like bacon and egg muffins, lots of Asian of course. Great roast beef and yorkshire pudding. Lots of food stations to move around, DJ playing decent music to get people in the mood. Lots of drinking, original ideas of Pina Coladas in Coconut shells, Jaeger shots, Saki shots, giant watermelon cocktails, strawberry vodka slushies. All in all a good experience and good value at AED 435 each too.

“Friday Brunch isn't worth it.”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

I went to Saffron's Friday brunch with some friends today and I was sorely disappointed. As soon as you walk in you get the feeling like you are in a cafeteria and once seated the feeling doesn't go away. The tables are positioned too close together, the chairs are uncomfortable and the lighting bad. The sitting areas contain way more people than there is space for and it is so loud that you have to yell to the person sitting next to you. Its impossible to just chat and drink with friends. This place is ideal for singles who want to flirt.

The food is sub par compared to other brunches I have been to, even brunches that cost 1/3 of the price. The selection of foods was okay - its obvious they value quantity over quality. Either that or they assume that their patrons will be too drunk to notice the mediocre food. The seafood was tasteless and rubbery. Sushi was good though.

Service to take away dishes and bring beverages was good, but the waitstaff doesn't seem to have any control at all over belligerent customers. One woman in our group was groped multiple times by a very drunk man from table next to us. Since the tables were placed so close together, the man could reach over and stick his hands down her dress without getting up from his seat. She asked him firmly to stop but he would not. We told waitstaff what happened and they did nothing. The man was eventually escorted out over an hour later for knocking over a table. Apparently knocking over a table is a greater offense than sexually harassing other diners.

There was a large variety of yummy drinks including fruity drinks served from coconuts, pineapples, and watermelons. The drinks were the only part of the brunch that Saffron got right. Lots of choice, all cold, and no lines until last call.

This brunch is over priced for what you get. I won't go back. There are other brunches that have better food, better atmosphere, and provide a better value than Saffron.

“Stick to beans on toast”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Before I write this review, I can honestly say its the worst food that I have ever had to pay for. I'm no Jamie Oliver and my partner is no nigella Lawson, but trust me this food boarders on punishment when it's clearly not deserved on the paying customer. Let me start of this the atmosphere... A chaotic mix of people who have made an effort and others who have just been washed up from the beach. Smart dress it says on the advertisment, I'd hate to see the wardrobe that was based on. The layout, make sure you've got your Tom Tom to find why rubber tasting meat is mixed with salty Chinese and adjoined by an English esq Sunday lunch mixed with sushi!!!?!!! I've heard of catering for all, but this is an all you can eat, every national dish mixed up in one place. The tasteless dishes are unacceptable on every level, the whole concept is based on serving food that looks like food that actually isn't food...!! An trust me it isn't. The seafood... Which must be sponsored by Goodyear tyres, due to its taste and rubber content is appalling and not worthy of palate, this combined with the make shift sushi outlet making Costco buffet an pizza eating reach Michelan star standards.... Horrendous on every level. And a score of -5 is we're it should sit. As for price per head, well your left feeling that Dick Turpin had served you!!!! Absolute robbery for horrendous cuisine.
