I have eaten in almost all of the restaurants at the hotel, over a good many years and was always happy to eat at the Seafood Market. The prices were high but so was the service and the food served. However, after my last visit to the place I decided to give it a miss for a while. The service hadn’t reduced or deteriorated – but the food had.
Anyway, I had hoped that my past impressions were a blip and that things had improved and decided to try the restaurant out, again, after a long absence. Alas, I was to be further disappointed by poor presentation, and poor food at astronomical prices. Prawn tempura was just deep fried prawns in a thick batter and the pan fried Haloumi resembled fried plantain chips when it arrived at the table.
In short, it seems as though the place has been turned in to a Chinese Restaurant and not a very good one, at that. I have eaten better Chinese Takeaway Food. Sorry, twice bitten, twice shy!
