Very Good Hotel opposite to Media City. The staff was curtious and helpful and rooms were quite neat. The room was quite equipped well and neat and clean. No free Wireless Internet thought. The hotel has couple of restaurants and cafe in-house will was good. subway and kfc were right across the street. the hotel is around 7 mins from the metro station, which was really helpful.

I stayed at this place by mistake.. I should have reserved at the "Marina Byblos"... so beware... This hotel is located in Tecom area and not in Marina area!

Nevertheless the room was large and well equiped with large TV (BBC world) and huge bathroom... Typical UAE quality hotel.

Breakfast was okay, nothing special (average)... somehow it was not so inviting. I felt I had come too late for fresh breakfast items.

the hotel looks nice and cheap compared to other ones. but its somehow in a remote area, u need a taxi in and out to reach the closest places. even the metro , u will have to walk for 15 minutes, and in that weather and sun, no way.
the room didnt have any nice view, i think non of the rooms are, the hotel is surronded by many other buildings and many of them are still under sontruction. not the view i aim at.
the food i ordered in room service was great. the staff seem friendly but not sure what they are doing. one day i came back with many shopping bags, two door men offered to help me get them up to the room to which i was happy, i went up the room and waited for almost 10-15 minutes. when nothing happened i called in the reception, she said sure they ar eon the way and they know my room, i waited for another 10 minutes and had to call again demanding to get my stuff, still after another 10 minutes i got them. i have been into many hotels and this never happened to me, i dont like my stuff kept away form me for such an unexplanable time.
cleanliness, the room seemed clean, but on my second day i found that nothing really was ever cleaned in the bathroom, there was an ear cotton tip that i missed, and i found it there still, it remained there till the day i left although the bathroom was supposed to be cleaned. some of the aminities like a new q-tip and stuff, although i left the box open and empty for them to re-fill, they didnt, simply closed it again as if i wont discover it, i really dont know what did they expected.

there is a hair dresser and a spa, dresser was really good, didnt use the spa.
some restuarants and night clubs were there and i would assume they are goo as i wlays found them booked.

final thing is that i was in the 5th floor and every night i will have to bear with the noise coming from these night clubs.

Room Tip: there is a very near by mini market, u can get some stuff there in case u dont like to spend too muc...

wanted to stay in the tecom area and hence booked this place on the basis of the past reviews from TA...not too disappointed with it, would seriously consider coming back to this.

Plus sides;
1. my pre-booked room wasnt available so i was upgraded to a suite. huge room with nice fittings and excellent bathroom
2. book with the breakfast buffet - worth it.
3. nice swimming pool and the spa...try the massage
4. has a 24X7 room service to order anything-anytime
5. the english pub does hve pretty waitresses and ncie liquor
6. the in-house night-club 'The Chameleon' - even though a noisy affair, brought a certain amount of 'color' to the place :)
7. the overall atmosphere of the hotel is pretty fun and colorful! easy to get cabs too at most times of the day.

minus sides:
1. pls include internet in the room rates - looks ridiculous when u sell internet hrs separately. should be made free for certain room kinds
2. my minibar was empty when i checked-in, had to remi^nd them to fill it up
3. billing takes long (in the morning during checkout) and i had errors in my bill when the internet - for which i had paid cash - was again added to the bill. also, when i pre-book thru the net in another currency - the convertability in that booked currency should be displayed and not just the AED price.

overall:
would i come back? yes, i would.

Room Tip: maybe a room with a view towards the Burj al Arab and higher floors...insulated from the music from...

Went for work, in good location in Tecom area of Dubai, the hotel does have an outside pool, but it is in the shade most of the day (except first thing), which can be a good thing, but not if you want to top up the tan. Room size is OK, bathroom again OK, no plug in my bath and whilst there for a week asked three times, eventually got a replacement rubber plug, not very 4 star then found out that the taps for the bath were stuck on shower, this could not be fixed apparently ! Staff at breakfast very engrossed in their own conversations, lobby staff good. I would suggest that you consider this a a 3 star hotel. It's OK, but no more, but for the price it's worth a look .
