1) BAD---Excursions are very expensive especially if purchased from the travel desk, try and arrange them beforehand or prepare to pay ridiculous prices.
1) BAD--- first thing a full sea view should mean a full sea view, we were guaranteed a full view but majority of our view was of the adjacent hotels, I paid a lot of money for it and didn't receive it, and the cost of upgrading is scandalous.
2) GOOD location of the hotel is, there are numerous quality restaurants and food places minutes from the hotel, so going breakfast only is highly recommended, although its a distance from the mall and other areas of interest
3)GOOD-- the beach is 2 minutes walk from the hotel and the evening view is amazing, walks down the beach are great
4) BAD-- in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in the pool is tiny.
5) GOOD-- the breakfast buffet is fantastic, great food and brilliant service

Room Tip: ensure you receive a full sea view if you paid for one, and let the desk know beforehand if you are...

Being a frequent visitor of UAE for the last 20 years, I have stayed in many hotels and resorts.
Last year I decided to try the Mövenpick Jumeirah.
I am used to friendly staff, good rooms, and convenience, but what I experienced here was just as good as it can get without expecting over-the-top treatment.
Value for money is great, one of the nicest restaurants interiors I have ever seen, and perfect service at Executive Lounge.
I will be back there much more often.

Stayed in November for a golfing holiday. Cannot fault the hotel - room very good; breakfast excellent;
Staff were absolutely brilliant. Never had to lift our golf clubs the time we were there - they all seemd interested in where we were playing and helped arrange taxis etc.
Only issue was that it was noisy but that is more of a comment on the location - we were on the 10th floor and therefore did not disturb our sleep.
Will be interested in how the buliding being built affects the outlook of the hotel (especially from the pool) when it is finished.

Mövenpick Jumeirah Beach was a great experience with superb pool facilities and walking distance to a wonderful beach with towel and parasol facilities provided by the hotel. Optimal for evening walks along the beach walk choosing new restaurants every evening. The spectacular Marina is also close by as well as the Atlantis water park, which is a highlight for children and adults alike.

We booked this hotel for stopover on the way back from Europe, and assumed that firstly it would be on the beach, secondly at $650 per night it would be good. Well, our "views of the Gulf" were more like a glimpse; the half board was cafeteria food; it isn't on the beach, and has a small crowded pool; the service is very patchy; it's pretty hard to say anything good about this hotel, so "Avoid"

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

. . . is when things don't go well at the start and the hotel works to "make it right" (or doesn't).

With over 25 years experience travelling for business, this hotel has exceeded my expectations after a slightly bumpy start - what I didn't know at the time was that they had only been open 2 days and it takes time to iron out the initial issues - if I had know this I would probably not have given them such a hard time.

The environment is great, the staff are world class and the food I have experienced is truly exceptional. I mean TRULY exceptional!

I'm not a big fan of loads of dark wood in a room, but they have got the form versus function balance just about right - it's well designed and looks good too.

The surroundings are still under construction in places, which causes some traffic issues, but for Dubai it's not too bad!

All-in-all BRILLIANT!

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view above the 4th floor.

Why is it a 5 stars?

The room I booked was supposed to be for 4 people.

I sent an email two days before coming because my check in was going to be late. I also asked if they had a courtesy bus or a shuttle from the airport. I received an answer about my check in but nothing else. On the D day at midnight my room was ready for 2!!! After 1 hour it was ready for 3. I went to the reception and asked for bed sheets to put on the sofa and 2 more towels. On the morning, the duty manager ,Abdul, understood all my problems but did nothing except a smile telling me that arabes people took everything. Very professional. He said he will come Back to me soon! I'm still waiting. We stayed in this cupboard as they called a room, even in New York we had a better room.
Every morning we had to wait for 15 minutes before being seated for the breakfast,a room with no view, no windows.
The dinner was not appropriate for kids.
In six evenings, we never had any arabic or lebanese food....in movenpick no ice cream in desert!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking time to write a review on TripAdvisor.

We are extremely disappointed to know that we failed to meet your expectations during your arrival on this occasion and would like to sincerely apologize for the same. Rest assured this is not our usual standards of service and that all the feedback has been passed on to the relevant department heads to take corrective actions accordingly.

For the food and beverage offerings, the meal arrangements in the Melrose Ballroom were only a temporary arrangement, as our restaurant was undergoing renovation. This was communicated on all channels including our website for guest reference. Also we do have an exclusive kids menu offering healthy and tasty choices for our young guests. For dinner buffet, we have daily changing theme nights, with Arabic theme night on every Wednesday, but at the same time we do have a selection of Arabic Mezzeh on offer every night. Mövenpick Ice Cream is offered in every outlet on request and we also have an ice-cream cart in our lobby. In order to help us understand your feedback better please feel free to contact us at hotel.jumeirah.social@moevenpick.com.

Once again we would like to thank for your valuable feedback and hope that this will not impact the possibility of your return to Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach.
