Had a really nice stay for 6 nights at this hotel! The hotel is only 2 years old so everything looks really nice and it's spotless! The staff here are amazing and extremely accommodating! Had a few treatments in the Spa and thoroughly enjoyed each one, especially the Aromatherapy massage. The beach is just across the road, I was on the 15th floor with view onto the beach which was lovely, as got to see some lovely sunsets. Breakfast is really good, with lots of choice and good smoothies to taste. This is a great location on foot, however be aware that the one way traffic is constant, so for taxis it is best to walk up to parallel road and take from there. Also ask taxi driver to drop you off there too!! Really enjoyed my stay here and a big thanks to the wonderful staff. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends!

Room Tip: Even if you get a room with partial view, the view is amazing!

Had a brief yet very comfortable trip to Dubai in October. Had a room on 4th floor with oblique sea view. Nicely decorated and equipped very spacious. Staff very accomodating. The conference facilities were world class. Breakfast and lunch buffet had wide choices. Just be aware there are building works across the road and this can be noisy on occassions. This hotel is central so easy to reach other attractions in Dubai.

Room Tip: Be aware of construction noises - so rear rooms better for quietness but will lack view.

I have stayed in Move n Pick JBR for 5 nights. Eventhough I didnt had any reservation the front office staffs were very cooperative in accomodating me and my 2 friends. I will definitely recommend this hotel for Dubai stay.

We stayed at this Hotel for 14 nights from the 10th of October.

This Hotel is located on the busy Jumeirah Beach Residence the traffic is one way and is constant the only plus is it moves at a snail’s pace. If you take a taxi back to the hotel the driver will often ask you to get out and walk the last bit as he will not want to spend the hour getting along the road that passes the front of the Hotel to get back to Sheik Zayed Road. There of lots of eateries and coffee bars to enjoy and people and car watch. Look out for the Ferraris, Bentleys and other high performance cars. The Hotel is well placed for the beach. On the down side there is a large construction site opposite which works 7 days a week from early until late. But the noise from this is outweighed by the entertainment of watching the construction workers and huge pieces of machinery. Personally we found the noise from generators and air conditioning units which serve the Meydon Beach Club (a low rise building opposite) that run 24/7 far more intrusive. If you are looking for a quite beach holiday you have booked the wrong destination.

There is plenty of staff at the reception, door and concierge. All the staff at this hotel are delightful, polite and very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

We decided to book a deluxe room and asked for a high floor rather than a standard room. We were so glad we did this. As far as we could gather all the rooms are exactly the same but what you get for the extra money is a balcony that is three times the size, you have a stunning sea and beach view rather than looking at the balconies of the buildings next door. None of the balconies have a particularly sunny aspect but, you will not want a sunny balcony it is too hot. You can however enjoy your balcony during the early part of the morning and from tea time onwards. Watch the little planes take off and land on the runway that has been built for the folk who want to jump out of planes on a parachute. Look out for the flash yachts and little Dows.

The rooms have plenty of three pin plugs, tea and coffee making and complementary bottles of water. All of which will be replenished upon request as often as you need. There is an amazing choice of six different types of pillows, the bed is huge and has clean crisp linen and a memory foam mattress. I can honestly say that I have never slept on such a comfortable bed. There is a clever system (two switches just inside the door) one to put on which shows a red light on the outside if you do not wish to be disturbed and one which shows a green light which shows you want the room cleaned. The hotel was fully booked while we were there and the cleaning staff had their work cut out so sometimes we had to wait until the afternoon before our room was cleaned and we felt this was a bit slow, oddly and with no pattern a complementary bowl of fruit appeared, and the daily free newspaper was just as erratic but both were nice when they appeared. As far as I could gather as well as the free guest wifi which is available in the reception area there is free wifi in all the rooms. I struggled with this for the first three days with the signal constantly dropping and being difficult to log on to. One of the receptionists saw me sitting in reception and I explained why. That afternoon and three engineers later I was connected to a very fast free internet connection in my room. The large safe is also free. Look out for the guest information book which may be tucked away in the desk drawer in your room.

The Pool is shaded for most of the day there are lots of sunbeds and cabanas with comfy chairs. Pool towels are provided and the pool temperature was 29 degrees. There was also some sun loungers on the lawn at the rear of the hotel for the sun lovers. There were some very diligent life guards on duty all the time the pool was open. The noise from the nearby building site was a problem if you wanted to lay quietly buy the pool my tip is to take your iPod!

The Beach is a short walk away cross the road on the pool level using the lift. Come out of the lift (You will be facing the hotel) turn left along the pavement a few metres and you will find the walk through to a lovely beach. There are no facilities on the beach so no toilets or places to buy cold drinks and ices. However, you can pick up your beach pack from beside the pool which contains two towels, two beach mats, an umbrella and even a cool bag filled with ice.

The restaurant is large and serves a lovely selection of foods for breakfasts. You give your room number and are seated by the member of staff, I do not think we sat at the same table twice morning or evening. Tea and coffee is plentiful as are fruit juices. The only thing lacking at the breakfast was the selection of fruit was very repetitive and basically was melon. I do not think anyone could grumble about the selection or quality of the food provided at breakfast. However, we found the evening meals less appealing lots of food but nothing that really went together. Roast potatoes offered at breakfast but were not in the evening menu likewise with smoked salmon and cheese and ham. There was on most nights meats to carve i.e. lamb or beef but was served so rare that it was not my taste. On the grill was a selection of meat and fish but the member of staff used the same tongs to put on the raw meat as served the cooked so a constant cross contamination of raw and cooked meat. Therefore we did not feel we could enjoy anything from the grill. What was left was an odd selection of casseroles and rice dishes.

The Metro station is certainly not a 10 minute walk as some local information will say and is at least 20 minutes through very busy roads and boiling hot sun. We managed to get round this by taking the complementary bus from the Hotel foyer provided by the Mall of Emirates which runs every day several times a day and then catch the metro from the Mall you will need a Silver “nol” card. You will then be able to ride the metro and visit Ibm Battuta Mall, Dubai Mall (the aquarium and fountains) and many other places. If you do walk to the Metro make it early morning or late evening turn right out of the hotel and take the next right. Cross the traffic lights (there is an English fish and chip shop on the corner) and walk over the bridge which crosses the Creek to the main road turn left. You will come across the Dubai Marina Metro Station.

The Hotel has a Sports Bar which shows most major sporting events but, as with all the facilities at this hotel are open to the public at a price and it seemed to get very noisy and crowded.

If you need any milk, pg tips, gold blend, toiletries fruit, coke, bottle water the nearest supermarket is Deals which is tucked away at the rear of the Oasis Towers (next door) on the right hand side. In the supermarket is a little coffee shop which serves pastries and baguettes for a bargain 15 Dirham’s these make a great lunch. The Oasis Towers also houses the Thyme Restaurant which has a great Friday Brunch and is also very child friendly providing an area for the children to play while you eat and a child’s buffet section.

Room Tip: Book a Deluxe Room and ask for a high floor.

A great short break made all the better by the exceptional friendliness and helpful staff. The services and amenities were very good as is the location. I had a small problem with Emirates limo pick-up on my departure, which was quickly sorted out by the front of house staff.

We stayed over for couple of nights, not bad at all, the pool was cool, service not bad and the food is good. Had a room for the first night and a suite for the other nights, really nice, however had some AC issues and some mold in the ventilation that made us worries for a while, Yet fixed. Hotel staff is nice and professional.

Thank you to all Movenpick Staff, what a fantastic experience.

We have just finished a 19 day European tour with a stopover for three nights at Movenpick on the way over. Certainly the best hotel we stayed in the whole time.

The food was magnificent with an enormous selection of unpronounable treats each meal. The location was lovely in that it was a little out of the city but there are still plenty of new restaurants and shops close by and it is just a short stroll to the beach.

Lovely bar and pool and nothing was a hassle for the staff. I have never had such good service at another hotel ever. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Our room was large (in comparison with standard European hotels) and beautifully decorated and comfortable.

It is a quick trip by taxi to the souk. We will stay again.
