“Super food and location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

This restaurant overlooks the Dubai Fountains so that you get a great view of all the shows. It is a little difficult to find unless you know where it is, and there is a little confusion with reservations, but generally the service is good.

The food is lovely especially the soft shell crab, and the Green Curry.

“Best Pad Thai and great Restaurant Manager”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

I love their pad Thai....dry and just like in bAngkok. Their Tom yam also best in town. Bit pricy but beautiful Thai bistro in the country with a great view of fountain and burj Khalifa. I love the service staff which are attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. Superb restaurant manager who visited our table to check how is everything and pass his business card for next visit. I fully recommended this restaurant as the most stylish
Thai bistro in town. Good selection of wine list as well.

“Location location + a great ambiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

I pre-booked the Mango Tree around a month before our trip having read the reviews on Trip Advisor, to secure a terrace table.

I requested a table on the terrace over looking the Burj Khalifa and fountains and we were given a prime table, even though we arrived 15 minutes late (The Mango Tree is situated in the Dubai Mall and the traffic around the Mall is horrendous in the early evening – leave lots of time to get there!!)

The fountain shows every 30 minutes was great and the views of the Burj Kalifah amazing. We ate the Pad thai noodles with chicken and green curry and both were delicious. Portion sizes are large, so best to ‘under order’ and order extra dishes if you want more food.

I didn’t think the prices were overpriced for the food quality and amazing location. A glass of wine is around £8.50, which wasn’t as expensive as I expected reading other reviews.

The service was exceptionally good and I didn’t feel rushed at all, even though we dined here on a Friday evening.

I would love to eat at the Mango Tree again and would highly recommend it.

“Great Thai food with an amazing view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Excellent balcony with a view over the fountains at Burj Khalifa
Our waiter called Saw took the entire order for 8 of us without writing it down, we were so impressed we must go back with 10 people to test him some more
As well travelled Thailand holiday makers the food past the test for us i.e. the Som Tum was authentic and spicy.
The price is high but if you get a great waiter, a great location and great food you have to pay
Go enjoy but book early for that seat with a view.

“Tasty food, excellent food, great view of the fountains, but expensive ....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We enjoyed Mango Tree as a party of 8 (6 adults and 2 young children), booking a table on the verrandah, overlooking the fountains, directly opposite Burj Khalifa.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The vegetarians in our group had a whole page of main dishes to choose from, and the menu as a whole was extensive, making it difficult to make a choice on the delicious sounding dishes.

But eventually we did, ordering 10 or so dishes from the menu in total to be shared amongst the group. Impressively, Saw, our Burmese waiter, had a impressive party trick, being able to memorise the entire parties order and replay it back.

On the whole the group stuck to the complementing Singha, although one party member did indulge in the Chilli Martinis which were particularly nice.

A rare (for Dubai) thunderstorm only added more drama to the evening, making for an enjoyable and memorable night.

The only downside 700AED per couple (with alcohol), but this is prime real estate in Dubai, what do you expect?
