Was very skeptical after reading comments on zomato. But i am glad i went by my instincts.

This place is a gem. The food is amazing. The service is amazing and the staff is courteous. Our host Mr Peter was courteous and humble and liked his honesty when we kind of over-ordered food and he recommended the food would be more than required and made some suggestions too.

The masala wok kabab and masala wok fried rice were amazing and must try.

The mojito and aam panna is also very refreshing.

The monchow soup is also good.

Keep up the good work guys

Masala wok is one of my favorite Indian-Chinese place with the true desi taste. Service was excellent and quick. Ambience is really nice with ample seating space. Starters were great with a nice variety of veg and non veg options, Their chef special chicken kabab was excellent in both taste and presentation. Pomfret rava fry was very unique, In the main course the desi kukkad is the simply the best followed by the Chef Special Fried rice. Goan Fish curry had an authentic Goan taste to it. In the dessert Moong Halwa was perfect. In the end we really enjoyed the Aam Panna and Shikanji.

Another shout out brought me to one of the hidden gems of Indian/chinese cuisine genre, to the far corner of Al nahda food street- Masala wok.
Cuisine - Indian with some value added variations. Chinese-Indian.

°Ambience- 4.5/5. Cozy warm ambience. Relaxed. Large televisions playing the latest matches. Rustic brick walls and homely pictures on one wall. Rajasthani style wooden colourful cabinets.
°Spacious. Comfortable parking spots around.
°Interior-4.5/5. Tasteful decor. Instagrammable pastel colours. Artworks.
°Service-5/5. •Mr. Bhuvan was very attentive. Personal care. Excellent suggestions. Knowledgeable about food.
•The owner Mr. Sharif spent lot of time with us and explained his passion behind the team, being a foodie he looks after every possible enhancements to improve the experience of a diner. And we vouch for that.
°Tariff-4.5/5. Given the quality of the restaurant and food, very justified.• Zomato Gold accepted-Huge advantage.
°Food quality-5/5. No frozen meat here. Fresh taste.
°Quantity-5/5. Sometimes it's difficult to finish by one person.
°Presentation-5/5. The special kababs are a sight to behold. Other diners were jealous at us , by looking at the spectacular display.

°For- Super food. Great service. Lovely ambience. Value for money. Easy parking.
°Against- Nothing really. A bit far from the city centre. That may be an advantage though.

Our orders-on guidance of Mr. Bhuvan,
•We started off on this incredible gourmet journey by the beautiful welcome drink from Kokam and spices. Not the watered down version given elsewhere.
Also some colourful poppadoms.
•A talumein soup and a sweet corn. The talumein was a chicken version. Retained all the flavour, taste of the orginal tibetan one. Correct amount, neither too much nor less. The sweet corn plays it's part to increase our appetite.
•One of the best Aampanna. Slightly like mojito. Large amount. In a mason's jar. Easy to handle.
• Large crunchy Wantons with vegetable fillers. Looks stylish. Tastes delightful.
●Special chicken kabab- Signature item. Special chicken kababs served in a big brass/kansya vessel with long shiks. Spectacular. The kabab itself is colourful, made with thin chicken meat cones and stuffed with minced chicken, cheese, mushrooms and spices. Unique.
●Chef's special chicken kebab. Another insta-moment. Miniature hanging shik kababs of four flavours. Phuljhadi kebab-With cheese, hariyali- green, tandoori-red and Malai kebabs. Soft, tender, juicy, well marinated and flavourful. Awesome. Special shout out for the phuljhadi kebab.
•Paneer malai kababs. Beautifully squared paneers grilled perfectly. Colour is so photogenic. Tastes great. Soft and the spices has entered into the core. Well done.

Now for the mains section-
• Dal- done well. Medium spiced. You can eat a large amount only with this item.
•Bhindi masala- Slightly sweetish. Thick gravy. Good amount. I loved it.
•Desi Kukkad. Fresh chicken curry. Gravy. Tastes lovely. Traditional item introduced recently in the menu. Everybody will remember their home food wih this one.
•Dabba Gosht. The all time classic has a new avatar here . Basicaly a dish of boiled eggs added to Lamb/mutton curry in a pot, here they have added the noodles too to bring on a chinese flavour too. New style but which works.

Finally the desserts-
The usual suspects are all there including Gulabjamuns, Gajar ki halwa, moong dal ki halwa etc. But we wanted something new.
●Honey fried noodles with ice cream. As per my friend, it was the standout dish of the afternoon. Fluffy crispy and crunchy flat noodles with some honey drizzled on top, giving a slight sweet tinge. And a lovely vanilla ice cream on top. Superb.
●Sizzling brownie with ice cream. A common item but done supremely. One of the best. The chocolate sauce drizzled on the ice cream was one of the high points. Lovingly done.

I was told that the chief chef is from a very prestigious organisation from the Indian hospitality industry in india, which is regarded very highly all over the world. Every item has an indelible stamp of high aristocracy written all over them. Looks and taste and presentation gives them a special distinguished appearance which very few can compare in Dubai.
Wholeheartedly recommended.
