Arabian Court at One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai
Ranked #12 of 565 Hotels in Dubai
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed June 15, 2010

We stayed at the Arabian Court last week, and is our second trip to this hotel, and its staff certainly know what 5 star service means. From the moment you arrive you know that everything you need for the period of your stay is only a telephone call away. The hotel is part of the One & Only resort, and guests staying at the Arabian Court have access to all the facilities of the Royal Palace and The Residence, which with 11 restaurants, gave us plenty of choice for a 6 night stay. Places that we liked were Nina. for modern Indian, Tangine, for a great north african dining experience and Celebrities.

Last time we stayed here, we had the Falcon Suite, which was great, but this time the deluxe room didn't disappoint. Large spacious rooms done tastly in the local style of dark wood and all the in-room facilities you'd expect from a hotel of this quality. Each room has a large bathroom with a bath, seperate walk in shower, and a seperate toilet, all spotlessly clean and with Phenaligon toiletries, Robes and slippers are also provided.

Whilst the rooms themselves are great, its the public spaces of this hotel make it special, the marble corridors and arches are beautiful, and being smaller than the Royal Palace it feels much more welcoming.

A special note to the staff, who are always welcoming and more than happy to help with recommendations on dining and things to do. Say hello to Harold and Krishnan on the concierge desk if you go!

Having read reviews about this hotel, I decided to book it as a surprise for my partners 40th birthday. It was fantastic & I can only speak highly of the hotel. The location, although on a dual carriageway was great. Once inside the complex you had no idea of the busy road outside & there was no noise. The beach was clean and there was watersports available too. We stayed by the pool mostly & were regularly offered glasses of water & our sunglasses were even cleaned for us too! The staff were always smiling & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Infact, I needed medication one day & the hotel had it delivered to the hotel from a local pharmacy and when i got back to my room it was there, they did it all. I had told the hotel it was my fiances birthday and he got 2 gifts from the hotel & a cake! They were very good to us.
You have a choice of restaurants, but being half board you only get to eat in The Rotisserie which is a buffet style. This is adequate, but we recommend you eat in the wide choice of a la carte restaurants instead, it's much nicer & better quality & choice. Your half board allocation counts as 145 dirhams towards your meal & you pay in the extra which goes onto your room bill which you pay at the end of your stay.
You are right by The Palm and there's a monorail closeby which goes right to The Atlantis Hotel & waterpark, think it was 15 dirhams each. Taxis are easily available, 40 dirhams to the big shopping centre. Shopping in Dubai is not cheap, so don't expect bargains unless you go to the markets.
We paid about £8 for a glass of wine in the hotel 7 about the same for a beer. ladies, be aware that you only get half a glass of wine, which was a little disappointing! We recommend the dune safari, alot of fun. The Aquaventure at The Atlantis was great, but cover up with a t-shirt because there's little shade and you're in the sun a lot. There are lockers which you can add onto to your admission price & you can ask to have money added onto to your wristband. This means you don't have to go back to get cash from your locker, they deduct it from your wristband when you buy food and drinks. Whatever you don't spend is refunded when you leave. The hotel has a speedboat to hire, £120 for an hour. It takes you a little of the way towards The Palm & Atlantis, then round the marina. Go later in the day when it's cooler.
We stayed for a week half board, but on top of this if you work on £170-£200 per day spending money for 2 people, that will cover extras like drinks, days out, taxis, a la carte meals etc..
Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. We met people who had been many times, and we are already planning our next stay too. If you want a smaller more personal intimate hotel, then The Arabian Court is the one. The Palace, which is in the complex, is bigger and perhaps not quite so intimate, but we met people who had stayed at The Palace 7 times, so it must be good.

It's really a palace in the middle of the desert, and you were treated like one of the arab sheiks from the moment you step in at the entrance. We arrived in the evening time and the moment i reached the gate i already felt in love .. the hotel has a big torch with the fire in the middle of the entrance..I usually limited my budget for accomodation, but i have a very good deal since it is summer now besides i share with my friend so it really worthed though .

Interior wise wew.. the best hotel ever.. the florish fountain.. with the roses petal close to guest relation desk..the shisha courtyard.. the beach. the pool.. i really am speachless.. TOP.. NOTCH

The room was spacious.. we were lucky to get the room on the 4th floor facing the ocean, they did a kind of service in the evening by folding the duvet, giving guests arabic cookies and prepared a arabs slipper for us to be used .. really amazing.

Complimentary breakfast at Rottiserie restaurant was sumptous and huge.. with its open concept kitchen, the staffs were really into detail and take a good care of their customers.

If you plan to stay there.. DONT FORGET TO EAT AT EAUZONE restaurant.. astonishing restaurant.. on top of the pool and facing the ocean.. furthermore it's asian food which suits me.

The only things that i want to blame is the hot weather hahahah.. the summer in dubai is really killing you. however if only i came here on winter.. i wouldnt be able to stay in this hotel due to my budget hahahah. and one more thing.. the location.. it's in beach area so very far from mall of the emirates or dubai mall.

We have just returned from our first trip to Dubai staying at the One and Only Royal Mirage. I have to say that this hotel is wonderful from Harold the Consierge to all the restaurant and room staff. It is definitely the attention to detail that this makes this hotel special. It was my friends 50th birthday while we were there and the hotel arranged a cake and gift to her room. We also had a meal at the Beach bar and restaurant that evening which was made really special by the hotel staff. This hotel will be hard to beat for us now and I am sure that we will return to it at some stage. We have some really happy memories at this hotel and would glady recommend it to anyone.

I visited the O&O Arabian Court with my wife during a trip to Dubai in November 2009. Although the resort is very nice and is built with amazing attention to detail, I was not entirely overwhelmed with the resort. The hotel is part of the Royal Mirage complex and is located about 25 minutes from the airport on the sea. The Royal Mirage has three parts: the Palace, The Residence and Spa and the Arabian Court. The Palace is the oldest while the Arabian Court and Residence are the newest. The Residence is the most exclusive but I preferred the Arabian Court as it was slightly more open and brighter than the Residence. All parts are furnished in an Arabian style with a variety of antiques and beatiful marble and wood accents. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and there is a large pool with plenty of space and service. There is beach access connected to the resort but the water is not clean due to the large amounts of construction going on around the area. There are various restaurants throughout the hotel and breakfast has a great variety and quality of food. Our room was niceand finished in the same style as the hotel. There is a fitness center connected to the Residence that AC guests are able to use. Service is generally very good but at times things happen a little slower than usual. For example the hotel was reluctant to help us process a visa. At first they sent us to our airline who then sent us back to our hotel. In the end, they helped us out but was surprised about the initial run around. Also, the gift shop didn't have postcards and were told to go to the Palace if we wanted to get them. All minor things but I didn't expect them to happen at such a well regarded, highly rated and expensive resort. Perhaps the four star rating is a reflection of the fact that we found Dubai to be relatively artificial and, although there is a lot to do, I prefer to have a naturally beautiful surrondings as opposed to giant shopping malls, artificial islands and murky water. The resort is very nice and manicured and I appreciated the fact that it was a haven of tranquility in a bustling town but was not sold on the idea of visiting Dubai for more than a quick stop on the way to the Maldives or Mauritius.

We have just returned from 12 nights staying at the One & Only Royal Mirage Arabian Court, arriving back on May 4th. My wife and I had discussed the idea of going to Dubai for a number of years but fell back on what we regarded as safer bets like Miami - i now we wish we had given Dubai and this lovely hotel 'The Arabian Court' a try a few years ago. I selected this hotel based on the reviews i had read on Trip Advisor which are nearly all extremely positive, never-the-less when one or two less favourable reviews pop up you start to get a little nervous!
We were on one of the first flights out of Heathrow after the volcano skies opened and we arrived at the hotel at about 8am and as other travellers have commented, our room was ready. Initially we were put in a 3rd floor room but as soon as we pointed out that we had requested a ground floor room, we were instantly moved with no problems what-so-ever (the ground floor has doors opening up onto the gardens and they also have a tiled floor, nicer than carpet in hot weather i think).
The hotel resembles an Arabic Fort and is much lower than surrounding buildings, it is set in about 60 acres with the Residence and The Palace and the photos on One And Only's website do not do the grounds, pools, beach or restaurants justice. It certainly is not a contemporary looking hotel but has an elegant style that most travellers should appreciate. The hotel is relaxed, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly - they love kids and made our 3 year olds stay very special indeed. Food wise we ate in Eau Zone which is nice for lunch and good for dinner (a sort of Nobu copy), The Rotisserie which is your main restaurant if you are on half board was of a good standard for 'buffet type' meals and certainly better than its equivalent restaurant in The Palace 'Olives' where if i am honest the service was a little slow and food quite average. The Beach Bar & Grill is lovely, great steaks and seafood in a lovely location and the Morrocan restaurant at the Palace 'Tagine' was also good.
We used babysitters and found them to be excellent and really i think, particularly if you have kids, this is a great hotel with high standards and friendly service. Yes a couple of the restaurants are not 5 star but they are good enough and should not spoil anyone's stay. From a beach perspective, i do understand why some people have commented that the view isn't so great looking at the first frond of the Palm but it is still pretty nice although we did find the water a little more appealing at The Palace end of the beach, the corner by the Arabian Court doesn't quite get the tidal movement it should and so the water doesn't feel as fresh.
Dubai has a suprisingly large amount do do and we are certainly converted, Aquaventure, Berj Dubai and the Souks are worth a visit - we will be back to the Arabian Court within the year i am sure.

A Fantastic hotel - stayed for 13 nights in the end as was delayed by the volcanic ash crisis!

Everything about the place is great!

The rooms are lovely and big - the bathroom is everything you expect from a Luxury Hotel.

The food is amazing - something for everyone. We were on a half board plan - which gave us 145 diram each per meal to put to ward the bill. which meant normally we only had to pay for drinks. We had a few places we thought were superb - Ninas - for an indian twist, Olives - med/italian food buffet, Tagine - moroccan and the Beach Bar and Grill for Steak and fresh fish. Breakfast is lovely too - you can have everything - I recommend the fresh eggs!

The only thing I would say is that alcohol is expensive here - but this is Dubai in general.

The pool is lovely at the Arabian Court - but you can use the other 2 pools at the Palace or the residence. You can also go by the beach if you prefer. The pool guys are great too - always bringing you cool towels, fruit and fresh drinking water thoughout the day.

The staff are very helpful and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable.

The hotel offer a free shuttle service to the Atlantis Hotel for Aquaventure Water park - well worth a trip!

This hotel can get busy during the school holidays with young children in the pool - but there is a life guard on duty all the time.

A fab place - and can't wait to back again!
