“Lots of rides but Wild Wadi has the edge”
Reviewed September 2, 2014 via mobile

Ok so what's good about it.......lots of rides and loads of variety. It was lovely and quiet when we went, kids going back to school and all that. So the best thing was the variety and quality of the rides.

I think there are a couple of things though that Wild Wadi does a bit better. No one offered us a map on entry. The rides aren't all linked together so it's not very intuitive to find your way around....I went back and asked for a map which helped, but you do need to ask.

Also if you go I recommend you wear some nylon board socks or something like that. They don't spray water on the floors and there is no where to put your flip flops so your feet roast trying to get from one place to the other....really impractical.

It was very clean but also very expensive, the staff aren't as customer focused as at Wild Wadi either.

Overall it's a good few hours out.

“Brilliant fun..”
Reviewed September 2, 2014

I took my eleven year old daughter to Dubai mid August for a week as a special last minute treat before starting back at School. I knew it would be very hot, having visited Dubai many times myself, but also knew that if you are sensible with the sun, you can still have a very good time. We stayed at the One and Only Palace of the Royal Mirage, and apart from it being my favourite hotel in Dubai, it also offers free tickets to Aquaventure! I had myself only ever visited Wild Wadi, which is also great fun, but now having visited Aquaventure..three days in a row, I personally prefer it. We liked the wave rides and low level rides, and also shark attack, but I would have liked a few signs to show the different levels of rides. Perhaps a few photos to show how daring or child suited etc. The ground is burning hot, so take flip flops or similar and be prepared for having to pay for lockers and towels with no money back. You pay, not rent. My advice, take a waterproof wallet for around your neck to put some cash and a credit card for safekeeping. Travel to the park with a small rucksack full of non valuable essentials, sun cream factor 50 for August, and then find a sun lounger, (there are hundreds), pop it under the sun lounger along with your flip flops and jump straight in the water for the day! We did the locker and towel thing on day one, then realised what others do on day two and went from there as just explained. We went from 10.30 -6.00 each day, kept applying sun cream all day, drank tons of water available from many outlets around the park, did not burn or get sunstroke and had the absolute time of our lives. A lot of people have written about burnt feet. It's easy, just don't forget your flip flops! Food outlets are below average, so we actually didn't bother and just had a big breakfast, then drank water all day and had a big dinner later. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and on day two my polo cap flew off on shark attack and I lost it. On day three I went to lost property and could not believe they had it!
Shark attack is a ride which you climb a lot of stairs to get to the top..so don't forget your flip flops, then you ride on either a single rubber ring, or in our case a double one. It's a big drop, then a dark tunnel ride, and at the end you come out in a see through tube through the centre of a tank full of sharks. Great fun. We clearly enjoyed Aquaventure as we went three days in a row, although had we not had the free tickets from our hotel, we would have only gone the once.

“Aquaventure Waterpark - Dubai”
Reviewed September 2, 2014

This is an amazing place with amazing crowd. Lazy river is favourite of my kids. The rapids version of lazy river complete the requiremnets of adults as well. Shark ride is wonderful because of the last leg where you pass through an aquarium full of fiches..

On the low side, everything is too costly inside the park. number of rides for adults is lesser than what we get in India.

My overall experience is GOOD at aqauaventure and I would definitely look forward to revisit the place.

“Dissapointed”
Reviewed September 2, 2014

Acwaventure Waterpark has decreased in class and attractiveness over the course of the last two years.

We had to wait 40 minutes at about 1100 hrs. to buy an entrance ticket last weekend. Standing in line for all this time is a real put off with people of every description jumping the queue and its quite warm in the heat of Summer.
Having to pay 150 AED for a large locker is really extortionate.
Finding a sun lounger to relax on is almost impossible and its time the loungers are replaced as they are showing there age now.
The buoys on the lazy river are uncomfortable to say the least.
Food of course is expensive to the captive audience. The quality of ice cream is low.
The attractions are all good and we appreciated the new multi person buoy rides.
The staff around and along the water attractions are very attentive and serious in what they do and we were happy that security seems to be a number one priority. Some of the staff not surprisingly seem a little bored.
The public sanitary areas are very clean. Thank you.
Probably will be back with the family.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us on TripAdvisor.
We are pleased to read that you enjoyed our attractions especially the family rides. However, we are disappointed to read about some of the challenges you faced during your visit. Rest assured that your concerns in regards to the queueing at the main entrance and the sun loungers have carefully been noted. While this is not the experience we want our guests to have, we thank you for bringing the concerns to our attention.
Thank you once again for your feedback and hope to welcome you back to Aquaventure.
