It is a fabulous waterpark but when it is blistering hot during the Summer months in Dubai, it is a punishment. We left after just 2 hours as the water was not cool and there was not a cool spot at the park ............

I think this is very good but only if you have grown up kids or travelling with a group. For families with toddler and just parents,,,, not much to do. you will find you will be going in turns to take rides.

The journey to Atlantis over the Palm Jumeirah, itself is beautiful. The rapids, the rides, the slopes are good. But what steals the show is Leap of Faith. A suggestion: Do not try the Leap of Faith at 1st hand, otherwise you will lose interest in other rides.

We got some kind of discounts(though I do not remember how mush) in our ticket to Aquaventure which includes the locker cost, the towel price and also includes a snack.

The usual rapids, which is common in other water parks also, are quite comfortable. There are guards all along the rapids and so do not worry. The park itself is large. One of the major attraction as I remember was Shark Attack, which is actually a tunnel ride through a lagoon full of sharks. But the slope was soo steep and you have to move with such momentum (read it high) that it was quite challenging to notice the sharks while you are in flow.

Now come the best part "Leap of Faith". It's one of the steepest slopes and once you start the fall, the adrenaline rush you feel is unimaginable. But you will enjoy it to the fullest. So it's a must try. Now if you are afraid of heights and do not want to try Leap of Faith, just do not go to Aquaventure. It's a waste of money.

We got a soft drink can and a Ceaser Salad as our free snacks, which was satisfactory in terms of taste and was quite a large proportion in terms of quantity.

Ohh I forgot to mention, if you are upto people watching, it's a great place to enjoy.

This park seems very large and the rides are a bit boring and samey. They are constructing two more chute, multi person rides but over all I prefer Wild Wadi

Aquaventure is the newest waterpark in Dubai. Part of the Atlantis The Palm hotel, it sits on Palm Jumeirah. The big draw is the Leap of Faith slide. It's intense and not for the faint of heart. However, my sons (ages 10,13) were disappointed by the other slides. At first, the park appears to have many slides; but you soon realize that they're all very similar and end up in the same lazy river.

Unlike Wild Wadi, the pools are not cooled, and the walkways are not watered to spare burning feet. Also unlike Wild Wadi, there's no wristband payment system, so you have to carry around cash. It's a pain.

If you can only visit one waterpark in Dubai, we'd recommend the Wild Wadi. But it's certainly hot enough in Dubai to enjoy two waterpark days!
