Description: THE BOMBAY: This Indian restaurant is a treasure trove of the most authentic Indian cuisine. The décor is earthy and the classical Indian music played by the live band completes an exotic Indian experience. This restaurant was named “BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT” in Dubai by “Time Out Awards”. The Bombay was also invited to contribute Indian cuisine to the world’s largest buffet on the 19th of January 2007, a record attempted by Dubai Shopping Festival & Emirates Culinary Guild for the Guinness Book of World Records. We were also invited to create the world’s largest dessert buffet for Guinness Book of World Records and of course the offering was a wide array of mouth watering Indian desserts. The wine list features only a handful of wines available at an affordable price, each one complementary to Indian spices and cuisine.Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner from 12.30 pm until 3.00 pm and from 7.30 pm until 02.00am.

Good food, authentic indian food and service. The service was excellent. I suggest you go early if oyu are not interested in indian music. Otherwise after 20.30, when there is light indian music-live band.

“South Indian food, live music, highly recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2012

We visited Bombay Brasserie situated in the Marco Polo Hotel and had an outstanding meal. Lovely flavours and a very authentic chicken dish. The service was good and the price was good too for the sort of place it was - two of us visited for around £30. There was live Indian music too which may not be my usual style (!!!) but all added to the atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

“15 years since last visit and still excellent food, service, atmosphere and music”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2011

15 years since last visit and still excellent, a memorable meal, with superb service and live traditional music. A comprehensive menu, freshly prepared and cooked with excellent vegetarian options. If over awed by the menu, let the waiters select for you. You won't be disappointed. Well worth seeking out on the first floor of the Marco Polo Hotel - don't be put off by the slightly tired lobby entrance.

“Simply The Best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2011

I live a long way from this Restaurant and with peak hour traffic it can sometimes take over an hour to make the journey. However this inconvenience is a small price to pay for the best Indian food I've tasted in Dubai. The main course menu is varied and despite many of the dishes being unfamiliar to the British eye the staff are more than willing to guide you through taking account of your preferences before making a recommendation. Invariably the suggestions are first rate and the food delicious. The starters are equally impressive, but beware portions are large. Doggy bags are available upon request. Traditional Indian live entertainment is also provided every night which adds to the atmosphere and exoticism. Prices are marginally higher than you'd expect to pay for an average Indian meal, but the small premium is worth every penny. The Bombay is also licensed as it is located within the Marco Polo Hotel so alcohol is available, the staff will even go to the English bar downstairs if something exotic is ordered rather than say the drink is unavailable. In short this place is first class.

“Suberb Indian Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2008

We had a great meal at the Bombay Brasserie. We arrived quite late, but they were still serving. The restaurant was fairly quiet as it was midweek.

The food and service were basically great. I had a good starter and my friend had the breaded mushrooms which were superb. We both had excellent main courses with great garlic naan bread.

The food was well spiced and excellent. Prices were pretty good. We spent around £50 for the meal including plenty of beers. Portions were large....we could not have fitted in a dessert.

There is a traditional Indian Band which plays quietly. The hotel is on it's own so is a taxi ride away but it is defiintely worth it. This was the best indian food I have tasted.
