“Feels like home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 3 yr old kid for 7 days. Excellent location, closer to Mall of Emirates and centrally located in Dubai which helps you to explore both sides of Dubai (towards Ibn Battuta Mall on one side and Burj Khalifa, Deira on other side). Burj Al Arab is very closeby and it costs very less to reach there by a taxi. There are two mini markets close to hotel (within 50m radius) to pick up daily groceries/ requirements. Else you can also go to Carrefor in Mall of Emirates. Food is not an issue as you get to have variety of food options (from all parts of world including Indian cuisines) at Mall of Emirates (200m away from Hotel). Staff is polite and attend to your needs immediately. My son was not well and they guided me to the nearest Pharmacy. Utensils provided in the apartment are of good quality and so are other electronic appliances. The room was spacious with a bedroom, drawing room, small kithchen and two attached bathrooms. I couldn't have asked for more. Since I booked much in advance and I got a very good deal. We stayed on the 8th floor which was no smoking zone and provided a very good view of Mall of Emirates, Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Hotel. It might be difficult to locate this hotel. If you're coming by Metro, get down at Mall of Emirates Metro stations, reach the car park on the ground floor of Mall of Emirates and ask anyone about this hotel or about the City Max hotel, Al Barsha which is 70m away from this hotel and this hotel is located at its back. I will prefer to stay at this hotel whenever I come back to Dubai again. Full marks to the staff and management for their hospitality.

Room Tip: Take on the higher floors, you get a good view of Burj Al Arab

Loved the location although when we first arrived it was night time and the taxi driver had a hard time looking for this apartment. Mall of Emirates - just a 5 mins walk. Food - lots of choices in the Mall. Transportation - no worries, the Metro is connected to the mall. The Apartment is very spacious which makes it easy to pack your things. Housekeeping needs to be improved as it seems no replenish of toilet roll and tissue box even after our 3rd day stay. Overall pretty happy and comfortable and they have friendly staff too!

Just had a 10 night stay at this hotel/apartment in a one bedroom suite. In some of the hotel descriptions i read it stated luxurious but i would strongly disagree with that. Kitchen cupboard doors were loose, towels were very old and worn. Pool area was very bad if you wanted to relax and sunbathe. Only 3 wooden sunbeds and not very safe to sit on,i had the feeling mine was about to collapse at any time. Only one side of pool where you can sit and that is mainly in the shade.Apartments could do with being refurbished. Now for the plus points:- Good location, very close to Mall of the Emirates, mini market practically next door, hairdresser very close too.Plenty of taxis passing hotel.Staff at hotel very friendly and helpful.Bed was comfortable and always had plenty of hot water.Free wifi. Cleaned daily.Ten minute walk to metro.Good value.

I stayed here for 5 nights with my husband and 3 small children in a two bedroom apartment in early November.

Pros:
- excellent location, only about 5 minutes drive to Mall of the Emirates. You can even see Ski Dubai from the hotel carpark.
- there's a mini supermarket 1 minute away, a mens hairdresser and ladies saloon within walking distance.
- there was always a lot of available car space.
- friendly and prompt service. Check in and check out was relatively smooth. When we asked for a bell boy upon leaving, he came within 5 minutes. Everybody always had a smile.
- the beds, quilts and pillows were extremely comfortable and soft. Always had a good nights rest.
- plenty of hot water every time
- wifi was fast inside the living room
- lots of hanging and shelving space
- lots of cooking utensils available, clean cutlery and plates etc
- clean and comfortable

CONS:
- the towels are incredibly uncomfortable. Rough, harsh and cheap quality.
- the wifi didn't work UNLESS you were in the living room. Even if you were in the front bathroom, it didn't work. If somebody is connected to the wifi on their phone, and then somebody else in the apartment tries to connect on THEIR phone using the wifi, the first person will be disconnected.
- the rubbish wasn't emptied from the bathroom bin when we first arrived
- for two days the toilet roll in the front bathroom was never replaced, had to use tissue paper
- there is only one plug in the kitchen, so if you want to use the kettle, you have to first disconnect the microwave and vice versa.
- the bathroom doesn't have enough counter space to put your toiletries
- even though it was a non-smoking floor, you could ABSOLUTELY smell somebody smoking from one of the apartments when you step off the elevators
- the elevator doors close really quickly which is annoying when you have a stroller and children you are trying to walk in and out. My husband and I regularly got hit in the shoulder by a closing door, and one time my eight year son got hit in the ear by the door closing suddenly. It made his ear all red, and made him cry.
- the washing machine, when used, is EXTREMELY noisy!

Overall it was an okay stay. We were out most of the day, so some of the little things I've complained about above didn't really matter. For the price we paid, I was a little disappointed that it wasn't more 'modern' looking but it sufficed for our trip. I may possibly stay there again if our usual hotel apartment in Dubai (Xclusive Apartment Hotels) is not available.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment away from the elevator.

My family and I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment here for 4 nights. I was a bit concerned having read some of the bad reviews but was very happy with service received prior and on arrival. The apartments were clean and the staff very friendly. Apartments located around the corner from the mall of Emirates which has the metro located on the first floor.
Nearest supermarket is located two doors away and the staff happy to deliver your shopping.
Was also concerned about baring shoulders whilst out and about but need not have worried as alot of women do.
Dubai was a fantastic experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

I travel to Dubai frequently for work. And I only stay at the Najd. For the same price as a room at a similarly priced hotel, you get a one bedroom apartment with kitchen that includes oven/hobs and a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave. In addition to the bathroom, there's also an extra toliet room. For a long term stay, this is a gem of a place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great; right behind Mall of the Emirates. There are mini-marts literally a few metres away and plenty of eateries nearby. While not catering specifically to business travellers, it's ideal due to the location and free and very fast wi-fi.

I booked my one bedroom apartment through booking.com and paid on arrival with my credit card.

Check in was very quick and smooth.. Location is excellent, right behind mall of emirates.

Rooms are not clean but probably it's expected when you pay 320 AED per night? Too many flies I couldn't sleep, bed isn't comfortable and AC is either too cold or not at all.

The space is ok. Not spacious, not too small.

Service is average.. They seem nice but when you ask for something you don't get it or get it late.

I wouldn't stay here again. I prefer to pay a little more and stay somewhere cleaner.
