The rooms were very well appointed, and comfortable. The rooftop pool was nice with beautiful viers overy Jumeirah.

The location was decent, but anywhere you go you need to use a car which is sometimes inconvenient. The hotel offered a free shuttle to the metro station.

The service at the hotel was good, but we had poor experience with inexperienced concierges. One concierge sent us around Dubai and didnt know where a restaurant that he recommended was, and we spent an hour going west, and then stopping back, and then going east. and in the end, the restaurant was not there. I also had a recommendation for another restaurant that turned out to be a different type of restaurant than I asked for.

The belgian bar at the hotel was a nice oasis, and very conveniently located. This was a big plus.

A downside was that the other bar in the hotel stopped serving alcohol between 17.00 and 18.00 if I recall correctly, and this is apprently due to UAE regulations. For some reason, the belgian bar could continue to serve during this time.

The construction near the hotel is the only real detractor, although noise didnt seem to be an issue. The issue was a bit on inconvenience on the road, and the eye sore.

I stayed in the Grand Millennium for New years and had a very pleasant stay overall.
The staff were very helpful and the rooms were absolutely huge, modern and clean. The breakfast was outstanding, I can't remember ever having a better spread at any hotel I've stayed in.
The pool is nice but is in the shade which was a disappointment but I guess with high summer temperatures that would not be a bad thing. Next to the pool is a brilliant gym and spa, the perfect way to finish off or start a day.
The hotel has a decent minibus system to bring you to downtown or Jumeirah or to some of the malls around the city but taxis are very cheap so you don't have to rely on them completely.
The concierge arranged an excellent Desert Safari for us as well as city tours. The area around the hotel is dead as a doornail, no life at all! But you are only a few minutes from the malls where all the restaurants are and only a few minutes from the beach too. So if you don't mind not being able to walk to the beach,t hen this place is for you.

We booked our Eid holiday at the Amwaj Rotana at dubai Marina but being a busy time, they cannot accommodate us on our last 2 nights.

W booked thru asia travel and one of their promo advert was for a surprise 4 to 5 star accommodation at half the price we paid Rotana. The catch was, you will only be told of the accommodation's name after the booking. My husband and I have done this before with asia travel and was hapPy with the apartment/hotel we got at Jumeirah Lakes area.

Indeed, Millenium was a very pleasant surprise, rates included breakfast of a very opulent spread in 2 outlets of the hotel. We had to pay extra for our breakfast at Amwaj Rotana.

The view is not spectacular and there are a few constructions going on close by, however, shuttle services to the beach and malls are provided.

The rooms are spacious, one bedroom with a partition wall and door from the living/dining area. Units are provided with self catering amenities ideal for long stay. The sofa doubles as a single bed. 2 flat screen tvs (our children could watch different programs at the same time). There are 2 bathrooms as well. The lovely Italian restaurant at the ground floor had a live music/ lady singer which was a relaxing way to unwind whilst kids ae safely tucked in bed upstairs. Hotel advertises a pizza delivery which was reasonably priced and quick. There is a wine bar by the lobby I only discovered on the last day. The in house spa also offers discount to hotel guests. Book early as they get very busy.

Staff are very friendly and I believe we got given a room upgrade.

I will definitely stay there again especially if they offer another great deal.
