We have recently come back after a holiday in Dubai lasting 10 days. We were really pleased with the accomodation, and would definately recommend if your travelling as as family. We travelled with our 21 month old child and he enjoyed the park and the space in the appartment. The staff were really attentive and the house keeping were brilliant, they came and serviced our appartment every morning with fresh linen.

Room Tip: Rooms on the otherside of the road easier to get too

The apartments aren't bad at all and in the end was nice to be right in the hub of Dubai. If you are traveling with the family do make sure that the sleeper couch is in good working order as for my family it was very poor and very uncomfortable. Finding the place is a little tricky at first but once you find it you think to your self way all the fuss. The house keeping is very good and do a good job. the shower is very poor as well as the hair dryer which is from the 90's in fact the décor in the room was at the end and not in terms of quality however to the eye. should you be staying long periods of time and wish not to spend to much money then this is the right thing for you.

Room Tip: Check bed on arrival.

Apartment 804 in Abu Kheibal building (building 17) is on the left handside heading onto the palm. Its 3 buildings away from the check in/reception. If you are driving thats fine, if you are in a taxi get the taxi to wait for you at check in and then take you to building 17. Its a bit of a walk otherwise, even if they are pushing your luggage on a trolley.

This apartment has a separate bedroom (king size bed), separate walk in closet and en suite bathroom. Living room and dining space area, a balcony with 1 lounger and 4 chairs. The balcony is at the back of the building with very partial sea views on the Dubai Marina and is shaded all day. The kitchen is fully equiped (washing machine, electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fruit juicer, blender, pots, pans, table setting for 4). Really you can host a 5 course dinner party if you wish! There is also a complimentary welcome pack including a litre of water, orange juice, satchets of sugar, coffee and tea on arrival.

Across the main road is a grocery store, Subway Restaurant and Costa Coffee. At the back of the building is communal gardens, fountains, streams, kids play areas and exercise equipments dotted along a 2600m walking/running track. In the middle of all of this is the Palm Jumeirah monorail. This you can see from the balcony. It runs every half an hour in each direction from the Atlantis Hotel to the end of the trunk. The apartment is 10 minutes walk from the nearest monorail station on the palm. Even with all of this activity outside the apartment is quiet wether inside or outside on the balcony.

The cleaners come daily and as there are usually 4/5 of them at a time, it ensures a swift cleaning of the apartment (under an hour) and you can have your privacy back.

Would I return - yes! This was my 2nd stay at the apartments. Very relaxing with enough activity on my doorstep for my under 10 year old. If you are travelling with kids, try and pack their fold up scooters, roller blades, heelys or something of the sort - they will be able to make full use of them (day or night). We stayed 4 nights,1 adult and 1 child.

This accommodation was an apartment recommended to us as an alternative to a Hotel.
We were in Block 1 on the first floor (104).
Immediatly we found the accomodation to have a stale smell, we went to the on site shop and purchased air fresheners. the appartment was tired, the furniture stained and fixtures and fittings in need of serious TLC.
Beach, pool and Gym all charged extra at 80 direm.
Overall the accomodation was dissapinting and would not stay here again.

We stayed March2013 for 3 nights - 2 couples. We arrived into Dubai early morning only to be advised that our apartment wouldn't be ready till 3-4pm. Depositing our luggage at the management office we set off down town for breakfast & some grocery shopping. Our apartment was located on the parkside of the complex- Note that depending on which block your apartment is in (I think there's 10 each side of the main road) there is no shuttle to take you & your luggage to your apartment. Your luggage is pushed on a trolley cart to your block luckily before you reach your apartment! Once in we noticed that the rooms in areas were clean & in others dirty, especially the kitchen & lounge. We made the most of it. We looked over the main road & could see apart of the beach & the Burj. The bedrooms were spacious & well equipped, though the TV did not work in the main bedroom. The kitchen had all the mod cons, microwave, electric cooker & oven; fridge & freezer; small dishwasher & washing machine. The lounge was comfortable but the sofa suits were worn & stained in places. The balcony overlooked the main road & was in the shade, despite being so close to the main road we didn't suffer from any traffic noise. There is a communal park area at the back of the apartments with a walking/running track, but no seating areas in the sun. There is access to the beach area on the beachside of complex but the charge is 80DHS per person per day. We also found that all the outside bars/restaurants on the complex by 2-3pm are in the shade if you want to sit outside in the sun, go early. It's advisable to purchase your alcohol to drink in the apartment, from the DF @ the airport, as without a licence you are not allowed to purchase alcohol unless at a bar/restaurant.
On the whole the apartment was functional & reflected the price we paid at this time of year but I would prefer to look at other options unless price limited us.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment on the beach front.

We joined a firend for his 50th Birthday in Dubai and wanted to stay on the Palm but not pay Hotel prices as it was high season. The Royal Club was well located and was adequate for this purpose. The apartment rooms and bathrooms were good and reflected the price we paid. We enjoyed the living area, big balcony and acceptable 'partial view'of the Ocean - although the road below was very noisy at times.

The check-in experience is not good however as the (inadequate) reception can be far from the building you end up staying in and if its very hot (as it often is in Dubai), a 10 minute walk will not be pleasant. The staff were however lovely and were very helpful whenever we had a query.

We did not use the beach club as we did not have time to not because it is a little expensive or across the road. Would we stay here again? Maybe if the prices in Dubai limited our accommodation choices like they did this time, otherwise we would probably choose elsewhere.

I don't understand why don't they write that it is a flat in an appartment building and not a hotel. And why they say that the beach club is free - actually you will have to pay for it extra.

I would never stay there again

And did I mention, that you have to cross a main junction to get to the beach club
