Two years ago when I made first review for Novotel Deira Hotel I was really astonished by the quality of service, efficiency of the staff, location and food quality, value for the money was definitely there. Since then I was regular guest staying 2-3 days on monthly basic due to business in Dubai. During all this time service level was slowly going down and it reached the bottom at my last stay, March 2013.
Room was poorly serviced mainly in the evening hours or in the best case very late afternoon, towels were not changed, internet service became free but useless. Food quality deteriorated, therefore in 5 days I had only two breakfasts at the hotel, on the check out incorrect bill has been presented and it took lots of explanation to the staff.
If you are a low demand tourist staying in Dubai for few days, want to stay at the hotel with good size swimming pool, next to the shopping center and awesome park behind the hotel this is the place to be. But if you are a business traveler staying at the hotel will not meet your requirement and there is no value for the money. I am really sorry to say but will not book this hotel for my next business stay in Dubai.
