Been there in Hunters with my family due to a recommendation of a colleague.
We did arrive very late at the Westin Mina Seyahi but still decided to have some aperitif in another outlet of the complex. The restaurant manager Mr. Umash gave us a very kind follow-up call if we will still come tonight, what we find very professional as we felt valuable as customers.
Later at the venue we were welcomed by the hostess and been seated at the terrace with a beautiful setting and view on the Mina Seyahi outdoor area and palm jumeirah.
The waiter gave us a nice introduction of the menu and the special cuts they offer.
We did like the bread selection given with house-made butter, the 4 types salt selection and the knife box, where you can choose from 7 different kind of steak knifes to fit your personal needs. - Very sophisticated ;)
The wine menu was brought trough an iPad application which was stunning an easy to operate search mode in order to find the perfect wine for your dinner, including search for region, grape variety and a detailed description about the bottle.
My parents ordered for 2 Australian Rangers Valley Fillet, my wife for Seabream and I choose to have the Chateau Briand.
All the steak and the fish were amazingly tender, juicy, full of flavor and been served at a perfect cooking temperature.
The dessert was a Apple Tart Tartin, which you will find no where comparable anywhere else.
The sharing dessert for 4 people took exacty 45 minutes as communicated to us.
Caramelized Apples on a crisp puff pastry base served with whipped cream and vanilla ice.
- A true sin ;)
With a bill amount about 2100,00 Dhs (including Wine for 500 Dhs) for 4 people not the cheapest venue in Dubai but you really get what you are paying for and this is making this restaurant the number 1 steak house in whole Dubai!
