It is a cheap but worth it touristy thing. The sand dune drive is brilliant and totally recommend. Sand boarding a gimmick, impossible to really do it. Some nice views. Ride a camel for a bit if you want. I thought the food was good abd enjoyable entertainment.

This is not what I would expect from a Desert Safari!! firstly we had to travel to a pick up point. Then we were packed onto a dirty little mini (mini mini) bus and taken on an hour long journey by a very grumpy driver to a meeting point at the side of the road where we were put into groups and waited for a 4x4 to collect us. We were then given a less than TEN MINUTE dune bashing experience and stopped for "photo opportunities" which consisted of a falcon being thrusted onto your arm/shoulder and you being charged 10dhs for the privilege of taking a photo with your own camera! We were then ushered into a camp site along with numerous other tours to see "traditional dancing"! There was nothing traditional about this!! The food was mediocre at best! The best part about this whole trip was the amazing sunset we got to witness over the dunes! I will never book a budget trip like this again - if it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is!

I jus want to add that whole experience was satisfying and welcoming. My wife enjoyed every minute of it. Our pick and drop from the hotel park regis kris kin was excatly on time. Special mention to the driver Mr. Ahmed who was very patient and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and colleagues visiting dubai.
The only thing which requires improvement is the food could have been better.
