“Too expensive for the quality the serve....”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

I read in the magazin "Discover Dubai" that I found inside my hotel room. It was my wedding anniversary, so I want to go to eat somewhere nice and want to have a good seafood...
Here we go... "Fish Market" @Radisson Blu, in Deira Dubai Creek, recommended as an Award Wining Restaurant....

The place was nice, but not very impressive... If you were in Bangkok @Seafood Market in Sukhumvit Road.. they have a same concept, just the different that THE FOOD HERE ARE VERY VERY EXPENSIVE AND NOT THAT GOOD!!!

The concept is, there are no Menu. You choose your fish, your crabs, your mussel, your veggie and whatever, asked the Chef to weight it and cook it how you like it and then you pay!!
For my opinion, I would said, it is a Thai Cuisine here, because the dish they serve here are - Tom Yam Soup, Stir fried Fish with Sweet & Sauer, Veggie with Oster Sauce etc.....
The Service staff was friendly, but we were leaded to our table without been telling that we have to choose our food by ourself later... They served "Potato French Fried" as a Goodies from the Kitchen... We ordeded a glass of opened Wine, it cost approx. EUR 15.-
I asked them to pan-fried my scallop with a bit of butter and salt. It was served with lots of oyster sauce and a bit over cooked! Therefore it cost approx. EUR 30.- for 6 pieces of scallop!!
We paid for a meal for 2 person with 1 Glass of wine and 1 bottle of still water approx. EUR 200.

I am travelling quite a lot and I love eating good food. I don't mind paying for a good food.
But here, I must said... IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!

“One to savour”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

The Radisson Blu Deira Creek has a dozen food outlets of which this is one. It is 2 floors up and has a lovely view over the creek. Staff are welcoming and happy to help you choose your meal. As the name implies, seafood is what is on offer - but what a wonderful selection there is. It is beautifully displayed on banks of ice: your server accompanies you with a basket into which goes your choice for weighing. You then decide how you want it cooked and there is a good choice of vegetables to go with it. Cuisine is a Thai-Chinese fusion and very well done. You actually pay 15 AED per head for the cooking on top of the raw price. Amusingly, as a starter, you get a plate of very well cooked chips! There is even Tiger beer on tap to complement the meal.
This was a delightful experience and not to be rushed. Of course it is not cheap: seafood rarely is, but it is squeaky clean and wholesome fresh fish. You would have to take a cab ride to find another restaurant nearly as good.

“Beautiful food, but Expensive !”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

You can choose your fishes, shrimp, prawn, clam, squid, etc fresh and cook the way you want it and serve you. no doubt food is very nice however I must say, it turn out very expensive a the end.
One things I did not like was the waitress who was more like sales person and trying to push to sell more to you without you wanting it!
anyway, our bill was 300 AED for one 500 grams fish and two shrimp !!!

“Fresh fish”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

We had a very nice dinner in this popular well-established restaurant in the Radisson Blue Hotel (the last time we'd eaten here was 10 years ago). The service was good and the decor pleasant. There is a nice view from this restaurant into the Creek where dhows are being loaded and various boats are plying their trades up and down the nearby waterway.

The format for dining here is that diners go to an ice table on which various types of fish and shellfish are on display, along with the per-kilo prices. Their server uses plastic gloves to pick up and bag the exact items they choose. After the fish table, there is a large table on which all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables are laid out. The servers make recommendations for what side dishes go with what entres.

All of the selected food is then carried back to the kitchen where everything is quickly prepared to be served hot. I found the items to be a little on the expensive side but the end product was delicious so I guess the end justifies the means.

“Great plaice to eat!”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

This restaurant is based on the fish market concept which is vEry popular in South East Asia, though on a much smaller scale. The advantage is that it is more like a restaurant than a fish emporium, but with the advantage of being able to pick your own fish. Service was good and food
was excellent. But be careful as you will tend to order too much when making your selection thus adding to the cost. A great night out in Dubai.
