“Solid property, excellent service, bit of a remote location”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

For a reasonably-priced, relatively "low frills" hotel, this place is spot-on. Clean, not fancy, but has all the basics, pleasant rooms, good free wifi, and a Costa cafe in the lobby with good coffee (avoid the hotel restaurant though). The service was particularly good; extremely friendly and helpful staff; they helped me print out boarding passes, book tours of Dubai, etc. The one drawback of this place is the location; if you're here to explore Dubai, it takes some time to get anywhere. It's about a half-hour from the center of town by car, longer by metro; the hotel has a shuttle to the local metro and a few other relatively close points of interest. For us it was still worth it, given that a similar hotel room in downtown Dubai would have been 2-3x the price, but something to keep in mind. Apart from that though, an excellent place.

Unflexible staff, ended up charging us for an extra room, they blamed the Third party and did not show any flexibility. Only hotel in Dubai that doesn't have a standard wc-shower. Location is in such a boring and awkward Place, you are better off paying a little extra and stay at non-jabel ali hotel.

Was a little apprehensive about a family room but the converted sofa bed was comfortable for our 10 year old. It is a distance from the main part of Dubai (we were mainly in Jumeirah) but the roads were easy to travel on to the Green Community. There are still roadworks on the way back which confused the GPS.
Bed were comfy, hotel clean. The breakfast gave a good choice. For a one night stay it was ideal.

The staff makes this place! We were greeted warmly at check-in, and it continued from there. No matter the time of day, there were smiling, pleasant people at the reception desk. We didn't really need anything- excellent room care, and a well-cleaned, well-prepared room, but they were kind about giving advice about the city.
Not really near much of anything, but there is a shuttle that can drop you at the metro if you time it right, and once you're on the metro, Dubai is your oyster, as it were.
There IS a really great international grocery store, that is the other stop on the free shuttle. If you are looking for anything- soy milk, razors, ice cream, whatever, it will probably be there.
The pool is small, but on the roof, which is fun
The restaurant is fine, but there are better options at the shopping center located across the street, connected to the grocery store- really good Thai food!

This is not a great bet if you want to stay IN Dubai. Its not in the heart of the city AT ALL. However, for the price, its a great place to be if you're ok taking a taxi to the metro, and then getting into the city.

It is FAR AWAY FROM THE AIRPORT. The metro runs from the airport to a spot very close to the hotel, but you still need a taxi from the metro to the hotel. And the metro stops running at some point in the evening (maybe 10pm?)

Great hotel for the price! Had a couple of issues which were dealt swiftly by the staff.
Fantastic 'front of house staff' on reception who were more than happy to help with anything.
Jo the manager really made our stay there unforgettable for all the right reasons! Service up there with the best 5 star hotels for Premier Inn prices.

Arrived today and we were allocated a room with twin beds which was not we wanted, in fact we were never asked our preference. We were given a new room on 1st floor with a double bed which had cigarette smell, very tired after traveling and just thought that we may not be in room too long, so reluctantly accepted it.

We were hungry so went down to restaurant, and had to listen to the loud drilling of outside walls, a nice lady told us that it will be finished today, well, it's 11pm and they are still working, can hear drilling in wall and hammering, looking out of the window the workspace is lit by spot lights as they are working in the dark.

Forgot to add that there was a hand written note in reception that some rooms will be without hot water at 6 o'clock this evening.!!!!!!

Ok, so not all well, now I wait for an extra towel, only one towel between us two, after a while an extra towel is delivered to our room, when it was delivered I asked the guy what is happening outside with the noise, he says he did not know but would speak to reception, no call to my room later to explain if I was to get a quiet rest, now it's after 11pm still drilling my wall outside of my room, sounds as if they are using a hammer drill.

It seems there is not a great deal of customer focus here.

In regard to location, I looked its location before booking and realised it was remote so I just booked taxis to and from the city sights.

It baffles me that people book a hotel, then complain about the location after visiting. The location is pretty much the only thing you can ALWAYS check yourself before booking / staying somewhere, so please, you really can't hold it against the hotel. It is quite far out, but Dubai is very spread out, so unless you are right on the metro line you need a car regardless. We had a car and had a great stay here. For the price you get an amazing service compared to a Premier inn in the UK - it's all brand new, extremely clean and the staff are great. The roooms were modern and get cleaned all throughout the day so you don't have to worry about having a lie in and missing the service.

A quick tip - if you're driving, use the Nakheel Harbour and Tower metro station as a park and ride. It's only one stop further than the one everyone else seems to use, but there's a huge (and free!) multi storey car park connected to the station.

The bar is quite pricey, but what do you expect buying alcohol in the UAE? For soft drinks, there are very cheap vending machines in the hotel selling ice cold drinks. There is also a mall down the road with some restaurants and a supermarket.

It really depends what kind of trip you are on - but again, it is your responsibility to check the location of a hotel. You can't book a hotel like this because you haven't hired a car and want a beach holiday, then moan that it's hard to get to and not near the beach. But, there will always be a handful of idiots.
