I visited Atalantis for my birthday with my husband and our two friends. The service was amazing from the second we arrived. The check in was easy and quick and when we got to our rooms there was a birthday cake waiting for me, I also received a complimentary massage for the occassion. We arrived late and so retired for the evening.
The next day we had breakfast in Saffron which is a huge international buffett and although the number of guests every morning was overwhelming we never once had to wait for a table. The food was very good and was always fuly stocked. We had breakfast there everyday for the rest of the trip.
We upgraded to a Club Room which was a great choice, breakfast was complimentary in a choice of restaurants, we had access to free soft drinks all day in the lounge, afternoon tea and then canapies and 2 hours of free alcohol in the lounge between 6-8pm every night. The staff in the lounge were fantastic and took the time to get to know you and what drinks you liked, Louis deserves a special mention.
With the Club access you also get free access to the water park and aquarium, both of which we visited and enjoyed. The shopping in the hotel is good and we enjoyed a few strolls through the boutiques.
We ate at Seafire (twice), Nobu and Ossiano all of which were incredible, pricey but well worth it. There is a bar right in the centre of the hotel which has two for one on drinks between 11-12pm daily which was a nice way to finish the evening off.
The pool and outdoor areas are immaculate (as is the whole resort) we swam in both the main pools daily, chasing the sun. The sea is also beautifully warm and gentle and it is such a unique experience to sit in the sea and face a city.
The only issue we had was that one day we returned to our room and could smell cigarette smoke, we called the front desk to ask if there was anything they could do. Within 10 mins security had been round and checked if they could find the culprit, then maintanence came and changed the filter in the air vent and then housekeeping brought an aromotherapy room freshner (which was so good I intend to purchase one for home!) they really couldn't have done more for us, the service is on another level.
It was a fantastic trip and I can't wait to go back again!

Room Tip: Pay the extra and upgrade to a Club Room.

We stayed here for Christmas eve/Christmas day and we were quite impressed with the building & facilities. However a couple of letdowns, we only got our baggage two and a bit hours after we got into the room, and of course our camera was in one of those bags. And the check-in experience was bit of a drag, as it was quite chaotic with the staff having to scan all of the guests' passports/IDs. And lastly the room which was on level 2, and apparently right above the nightclub and so my child could not sleep at all. Other than that I was really happy with our experiences there. For people interested to know, yes, you can still go to Aquaventure after you've checked out of the hotel. That was a nice touch I thought.

Visited rather than stayed, just to be whilst waiting for a helicopter flight. Couldn't get a drink or lunch without being a resident or the areas were closing after 4pm ! It was like being in hell, you couldn't go almost anywhere with out security clearance or finding yourself in a never ending que, leave took an hour and a half, gregarious and a mix between a casino and a nightmare. If you've got children can see how this place works but it's no underwater hotel. Getting out of their was an ordeal in itself. So glad I wasn't a guest and love staying in great hotels, but this Atlantis city is lost for a the wrong reasons.

We were here on our honeymoon actually on Dec 2012 (sorry, the system doesn't allow this date). Very luxurious, beautiful surroundings, great waterpark. This all means: very expensive. The hotel is huge which unfortunately means no personal attention. Whenever you would like to ask something, book a ticket to an attraction, make a reservation to a restaurant, you need to stand in line for quite some time. But once you get service, it's always good: fluent english, friendly smily staff.

We did not get an upgrade even though we were on our honeymoon, our room was quite basic. It was quite chilly outside at the time so it was very disappointing to find that the water coming from the shower or to the tub was not hot. We needed to boil water with the electric kettle so that we could get a nice, warm bath. Not good.

The restaurants are unlike any other hotels' that we've been to. We especially enjoyed Nobu. But if you like to drink some wine with your meal, be prepared to PAY for it. Cant' get a bottle of wine under EUR70, so very pricy indeed.

The distance between the hotel and the central of Dubai is noticeable. You can get a taxi right outside the hotel but as the culture is islamic, wives/girlfriends should keep their mouths shut. The taxi drivers will not respond to women, they will only talk to men. There is also a train station from the waterpark to centrum, so that might be cheaper but we didn't get a chance to try it.

If you're thinking of going to Dubai, you should definitely visit Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world today. Also, if staying at the Atlantis you should try swimming with the dolphins (this costs quite alot) or petting them (a bit cheaper). We also enjoyed feeding the sting-rays, this is something I would recommend to everyone, the experience is quite unique. You go in the pool with the instructor and the rays and the instructor will hand you some shrimp to hold in your fist. Once you put your fist underwater, a ray will come and suck the shrimp from your hand. Very fun and memorable. A professional photographer is taking pictures all the time and you can purchase the pictures of your choice afterwards.

We had an amazing 4 night stay at the Atlantis and for sure plan to come back. Whilst not cheap it is probably the best place to stay with family in Dubai. We opted for the Imperial Club room, which I can highly recommend as it includes breakfast and wifi as well as access to Imperial Club Lounge which offers great food and beverage all day around.
The hotel itself is simply spectacular with a very impressive aquarium, very diverse and good quality restaurants and of course and unforgettable water park for the kids (although parents enjoyed it as well). Our experience with the service was very good, everything spot on and we really felt that all staff members made an effort to give guests a special holiday feeling.

Room Tip: Recommend to book Imperial Club Room

I & my wife stayed three nights in one of the ocean deluxe rooms during our honeymoon in dubai and from check in to check out the experience was wonderful. from the staff at the reception (an egyptian) to the guy that helped with our luggages.
Hotel staff were friendly and always willing to help...the atmosphere was just too professional
Wonderful!!

Room Tip: I think the palm beach deluxe rooms have a better view unless of course you like to look at the empt...

I have been to many hotels in over 15 countries and among those Luxury category hotels i stayed at Atlantis hotel was special as it's located in a man made island(The palms,Dubai).I stayed in a Deluxe room which was stylish and value for the money i paid with necessary amenities in the room.Bath room is with enough space with walking shower & bath.Comfortable king size bed with all room amenities for a luxury hotel.
Massive reception area and enough staff to assure the clients that everyone is taking care while waiting for the check in despite lot of guest for check in/etc.You can access the hotel by taxi/own vehicle or by Monorail with all those picturesque view to Arabian sea.
As i stayed just a one night ,less time to experience many outlets available but had dinner at Ossiano only among those vast availability of restaurants at the hotel. The dinner experience was amassing at Ossiano which was like having dinner underwater world. Not to forget to get some beautiful pictures in front of Lost chambers while you at the hotel which will take you living in the lost Atlantis with thousands of marine animals.
I spent more time at the beach and got the opportunity to enter Aqua venture water park as a residence guest .The experience was excellent in the Aquaventure water park that you never get bored staying at the hotel while having a water park like this adjoining to hotel if you just want to get out from the hotel room for few hours. The experience of the ride Leaf of faith was one of the best among those activities available.
Staff relate to hotel , representing different departments was helpfull and good with the information about the hotel. Most of them are very friendly/smiling.Staff who works in areas of guest contact ,Speaks good English.Even though it was one night experience i had a positive feeling about the hotel services and staff attitudes. Honestly value for the money i paid for the night stay and for hotel services.i will Highly recommend the hotel for my friends who's willing to go to Dubai for holidays to stay somewhere memorable with a experience of a hotel located in a different place than you normally expected to be.May be for someone looks for calm environment with less people around them outside of the hotel room, this is not the ideal place as when the hotel is full i can imagine how crowded the place comparing the total number of rooms hotel has got.
