This was one of the best hotels I'v been to, its magnificent, the outlook of the hotel is simply amazing. The service of the staff was really above standards, they make you feel special.
The rooms were superb and classy, being on the 19th floor was such an amazing experience with the view that hotel had to offer.
Aquaventure was one of the greatest highlights this hotel had to offer, great fun, you won't even realize the time go by as you enjoy the day.
The imperial club lounge was ecstatic, the service once again was well above expectations.
The highlight for me was the N'Dulge Nightclub, one of the best night clubs around Dubai, the terrace was a real treat, and with one of the best bartenders you would come across.
Overall this is easily one of the best hotels not only in Dubai but also in the world.
Large hotel but service was excellent. Definitely pay the extra for Imperial Club!!! It definitely pays for itself with the lounge, breakfast, concierge service. It was a great place to hang-out for a snack, or just the view. The people that worked there were excellent!
The water park was great for the children. The food was of excellent quality, although pricey like most of Dubai.
The aquarium is truly a sight to see!!
I was surpised that for such a large hotel the service was outstanding.
A great choice for family vacation, but I am not sure it is the best choice for couples.
Hi, I took my wife here for our 5th anniversary and she loved it. From the moment I told her we were going.
The hotel its self is very nice with very high standards. One thing we noticed as a couple is that you can walk around this large hotel without being noticed. Some may like this and others may seem that the staff dont care. Its so large that all the staff have things to do, however if you stop and ask them for hel then you will see the service like nothing before 5*****
The pool was vvery clean. My best part was the beach, now normally I have my sandels on in the beach but The Atlantis was amazing, its like someone had hovered the beach as there was not dirt or seaweed at all - I LOVED IT!!!
We have half-board so the food in the main buffett restaurant called klydoscope was great and has a selection from around the world - Even the indian tasted like back home as the chefs are indian and not UNCLE BEN!!!
The rooms were great and you would get 2 bottles of water everyday free - Normally £3 to buy!!!
The Aquapark was great and you get other tourists envy you when they see your atlantis room card as this allows you priority access - LOL
My wife did the leap pf faith she loved it. I did the slide where you go past sharks - that was great.
There is free shuttle bus that takes you to shopping centres - So make sure you use them ask the consierge for the daily timetable.
Okay we went out to eat and I paid £150 for a meal for two without alcahol - I did not mind as it was our anniverasry, however we visited old Dubai and has twice as much and tastier authentic food as Karachi Darbar for £25 and I left £10 tips.......Try it!!!
I will deffinatley come back when our baby is 5 years old as this is pefrect for families.
We have just returned from a wonderful time at this hotel. We were initially anxious about going after reading some of the reviews but that was soon dispelled when we arrived at the hotel. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were wafted along on the most curteous customer service from every member of staff. It is big, bold and extravagant. It is expensive to go but when you arrive you see what you are paying for. We are a family of 2 adults and 1 child. We had an ocean dulux room and were on a half board basis which was more than adequate for us. The restaurants we were allowed to eat in were fantastic and you do not lose out on quality with the half board menu. Sometimes we chose a couple of things that were on the regular menu and it did not work out to be too bad in price. The water park is amazing and very clean and safe. There are life guards everywhere to help you on your way. I did notice that it gets busy between say 1pm and 3pm which seems to be an overlap time of people who came in the morning and people who are just arriving in the afternoon. Food here was good as well. We also did the dolphin experience which expensive but value for money. It is a dream experience so do it if you can. You get about a 20-30 minute fun briefing before being with the dolphin and then another say 30-40 minutes with the dolphin. It is such a professional and kind experience for both tourist and dolphin. We found everything truly wonderful and will definitely return once we have saved up.
We holidayed last year at the Atlantis and had no hesitation booking a return trip.
This did not disappoint and we had an excellent holiday once again.
As this hotel is so frequently reviewed, I will try to leave a few more specific comments.
Waterpark - Best times to go as a hotel guest are first 2 or last 2 hours - (10-12 or 4-6ish). During the middle of the day the morass of day visitors can swamp the park badly. Whilst there may be hefty queues for some of the slides, there are always enough loungers if you are prepared to walk to the far end of the park to one of the quieter areas.
Food costs - Tea/Coffee/ Soft drinks = 15AED. They do a refillable soft drinks bottle that costs 40AED initially and is then 5AED per refill - works out well if you are there for a week with thirsty kids!
Junk food meal deals approx 50AED
Ice creams 40AED
They are currently building an extension to the waterpark which is supposed to contain an additional 6 rides/slides. This is due to open in August, the construction is not really affecting the current operations.
Lost Chambers - I would highly reccommend booking to go on one of the variety of 'Behind The Scenes' tours they offer. As hotel guests, these are pretty cheap and they have free kids places offers. They are pretty exclusive and are limited to max 6 people and show you what goes into making the whole aquarium area of the Hotel work - you get to feed the fish, see the nursery and fish hospital etc etc.
Restaurants - We went on a half board package as I guess a lot of people do. The drinks prices are therefore the primary factor!
500ml beer = 45 AED
Cheap bottle wine = 125 AED
Half decent bottle of wine = 200AED
Bottled water - Ask for a bottle and as standard a 21AED bottle of 1L Vittel arrives. Make sure you ask for Atlantis water - A 1.5 L bottle of branded AlAin water arrives at a cost of 13AED........
Big tip - If you are an Emirates Skywards Frequent Flyer member, remember to take your card and show it each time you ask for the bill. Even if you only fly Emirates once, sign up. You get a 15% discount on all food and beverage purchases in the main Hotel building. This applies even if you are a lowly 'Blue' member! 15% off a £40 bottle of wine is not inconsiderable........
