“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

The Atlantis was a great hotel with smiley and proffesional staff, plus a fantastic array of different restaurants with many different cultures. There was a Japanese (Nobu) all the way to a Asian (Levantine), there were plenty of tastes to experience, great when travelling with my 11 year old daughter, as it let her taste many different cultures.
The pools were always clean and there was an activity pool where you could play Water Basketball as there were two goals and a volleyball net in the pool. The pool bars have excellent food and the food can be delivered to your sun lounger. They were loads of different drinks, and mocktails.
Another great thing about the Atlantis is that a tour bus stops right at it, so we managed to go to the Dubai Mall and Golden Souk. It was really nice to see Dubai without having to spend ages walking around in the heat.
The water park was also incredibly clean and very well organised, as you never felt like you had to que ages or were fighting for sun loungers. The rides varied from the slow lazy river to the 'Leap of Faith' and were all fantastic fun.
As it was my husband's birthday whilst we were there, we booked the Dolphins and it was a truly unforgetable experience, where we got to hug and be kissed by the dolphin, get pushed in a circle by the dolphin, and ride it. The trainers were very knowledgeable and (like everybody else) smiley and proffesional.
Our room was constantly clean, had an amazing view and was perfect for us. The shower and bath was gleaming and the beds were extremely comfartable.
All in all, our stay at the hotel was a pleasure and we will definitively be going back and recommend it to our friends for a relaxed break, but with plenty to do.

Room Tip: If you book an Imperial Suite, you get a great view and a set aside lounge.

Big busy hotel but spacious enough not to be overcrowded. Beautiful rooms - possibly the best we have ever stayed in. Unfortunately not sound proofed sufficiently. Noisy neighbours spoiled our stay.We were given the option of changing rooms but declined as it was a hassle, also would have split up our group. Magnificent views from the hotel. Great selection of food at breakfast. Very friendly & helpful staff. Complimentary shuttles to the malls & free entrance into the waterpark. We took the helicopter flip over Dubai from the hotel - expensive but the highlight of our trip foe me - unforgettable.

It’s around 35-40 minutes taxi ride away from Dubai international airport. When we arrived to the hotel the lobby and the reception were too crowded I thought at first that we enter into one of Dubai’s shopping mall, people were standing in queue for their reservation. So for our check-in we had to join the crowed, yet the good thing about waiting was upgraded our room from Deluxe Room to Palm Beach Deluxe Room, which I found a very nice gesture. Luckily our check-out was much easier with no complications.

The rooms on the other hand were clean, well-furnished, with small sofas, desk and flat TV screen; the bedding was too comfortable, and the toilet was very beautiful and clean with separate shawer and WC. There was complimentary water, coffee and tea. The balcony was more of a big window, but the view was breath taken; if you are looking to enjoy the free Wifi, well sorry to tell you, you have to pay for it.

The swimming pool was magnificent very big and temperature controlled, the beach was nice and clean, but we did mostly enjoy the Aquaventure Waterpark it was really an awesome experience we could not have enough of it. The Lost Chambers Aquarium worth watching you can’t believe what your eyes are seeing

The hotel provides the guests a shuttle bus to almost every mall in Dubai. Over all it was marvelous experience and a magnificent adventure, I recommend this hotel for newlywed, honeymooners and families.

To make your holidays perfect in Dubai, Atlantis is the best choice. Before making choice of Atlantis, make sure you are having three days extra in Dubai to be spent only in Atlantis. There are so many activities and fun things to be done in Atlantis that your kids wont allow you to leave Atlantis.
The check-in process is very smooth and fast. The staff is very skilled and they know their job very well. The rooms (I stayed in standard room) are quiet big and very peaceful. Beds are very comfortable and cosy. The bathrooms are very big equipped with all amenities. Housekeeping provides unlimited bottoled water which is unique.
The morning breakfast is excellent with wider choice from all continents. we had a dinner in one of its Italian restaurent. The service was very fast & smooth and food quality very excellent.
We had a Indian lunch in room. It was very good and quiet nominal in price. Only thing to take care is carry your own alcohal and beers as they are very expensive in the hotel.

We chose to only stay two days at Atlantis and it was perfect; we then moved to a different location at Jumeriah Beach; off the Palm. We really enjoyed the onsite waterpark (kids 7, 15, 17), the restaurants & beach (never used the pool, but looked great). The rooms are nothing special though our view was really great looking down onto the aquarium and out to the ocean. The rooms are clean, comfortable and functional but nothing to write home about. You are paying for being on site which is a great advantage; tickets inc for waterpark, aquarium, etc and it is just easy to be on site being able to go to your room as you please. The breakfast buffet at the Int'l rest near aquarium was amazing; so many choices! I was really glad our room booked with Asia Web Direct included breakfast and also provided a club level room and did not require as long a stay over the holidays as I was finding when looking to book directly with hotel. We will hopefully return someday! As a family with 3 kids we had to get 2 connecting rooms; they connected with a pass thru door on shared wall (vs a foyer with 2 front doors). My son enjoyed the kids club one eve while we went to dinner. Because this is a pricey place to stay I give 3* for value. We stayed on the wing that was same as where the aquarium is; closer to all things going on. Noise was not an issue. I don't think it would matter either way which wing you were in. The entire property is stunning!

Visited for Easter and it made the perfect location for a short break. Waterpark is ace and included, a great resort for teens with loads to do. The hotels location is a taxi ride away from most things but they are very low cost and drivers are always friendly. Pool bars are great in the evening.

Room Tip: Pick up a few bottles of wine at Dubai Airport, mini bar is vvv expensive

We stayed in Atlantis for three nights at the end of November as a stopover on the way back to the UK from Australia.

We arrived into Dubai at 5am and were fortunate that there was a room available for us immediately - much appreciated as we were travelling with two young children.

Room was lovely and spacious and had a great view overlooking one of the pools towards the Zabeel Saray. All staff were friendly especially the waiting staff at Saffron who were excellent with our children

Having unlimited access to Aquaventure was the main reason for choosing Atlantis and we spent two full days there and the kids (and adults!) thoroughly enjoyed it. The third day in Dubai we were unfortunate to experience thunder, lightning and torrential rain which limited what we were able to do but we visited the Lost Chambers which entertained us for a period.

Having visited Dubai before and stayed in the Jumeirah Beach area, I would say that the only downside to Atlantis is its location. Although the Palm is an amazing engineering feat, it does take more than 15 minutes by car to get from Atlantis to the "mainland" which adds on extra time to any journeys to the malls / restaurants / airport etc, and therefore it can feel a bit isolated. If we were returning to Dubai, I would definitely try to stay in Jumeirah Beach area again.

Also a small tip, taxi drivers in Dubai generally don't have a clue where they are going unless it is to one of the major attractions. We arranged to meet friends on a couple of occasions at their home and a smaller restaurant. In both instances the taxi driver did not have any clue as to where we were going (all we had was an address) and it required several text messages and phone calls to our friends to get exact directions from specific landmarks. Be aware of this if moving away from the major tourist areas.
