“Got To Go.”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Hi, We stayed here mid September 2012. Starting with the pool and beach, there are 8 towel stations around the pool and beach area. Any towels left on the beds for any length of time WILL be removed, unless you leave something of value on them, (book or own towel).
Very attentive pool staff with 6 lifeguards at the pool and 5 on the beach.
The pool is only 4ft deep and is cooled in the hotter months, whereas the sea, which is only 50 yards away is very warm. You get ice cold towels and ice lollies once per day.
There are plenty of Golf buggies to take you around from place to place, which is great if its scorching.
Rooms, they are immaculate, the room boys are very good and very polite. You get free water, tea and coffee daily in your room but everything else you pay for. Also there is a daily turn down service, and occasional towel art too. We asked for 4 bottles of water in the morning and he never failed!
Upgrades. We spent our 29th wedding anniversary here. We informed them months before, and we never mentioned it at reception when booking in. The receptionist was brilliant,, She offered us a room with 2 Queen beds, which we said we'd use one bed each night, she giggled! and said "hang on, a king size has just came up on the screen and its on the 18th floor facing the palm and city, will that do? and....... seeing as it's your anniversary, we'll do it for free" We were gobsmacked, ours eyes filled up and we of course said yes. Superb.
Imperial Club. Had our first 4 nights as half board, and upgraded to Imperial for the last 3. The 18th floor is for club guests anyway, so did'nt have to change rooms. It is definitely worth talking to an experienced receptionist when it comes to upgrading. We asked a trainee for the price and said it would cost 720 dhms per night, so, for 3 nights would be 2100 dhms. approx £385. When we asked the experienced person the next day, he said that seeing as we had already paid for our breakfasts we did'nt need to pay the 720 per night but only needed to pay 480. So 480 times 3 = 1440 Approx £257. A saving of £129. So check on who your talking to!
Taxis etc..... They have hotel cars, a hotel shuttle and private taxis. the latter is the cheapest, even though they go around the world to get there. The shuttle goes to all the malls around Dubai city. It took us nearly 2 hours to get to the Khaliffe tower by shuttle and only 20 mins to get back in a taxi !!!
Khaliffe tower is worth going to, but you need to book it 30 days in advance to make sure you get in. Or, you can wait in the queue and pay double what you would pay on the Internet.
Burg Al Arab..... Again, e-mail them to make a reservation, give them your card details to make sure you turn up. Expensive, You need to spend a minimum of £80, which is quite easy. We mentioned it was our anniversary in the email, and the head waiter brought us a lovely cake and a red rose for my wife. Fantastic. They have a queueing system if you want to sit by the window overlooking the city, we waited about 15 mins.
With the recession still here, the Palm is'nt finished yet. They still have 5 branches to build on.
Aqua park.... Lockers are 40 drhms per day. You can leave the park and return later if you wish. Leap of Faith is brilliant, Ziggurat rides are very good too, but the torrent ride is quite tame. I would recommend that you purchase some goggles and a nose clip. Well worth £3 from ebay. Drinks at the park are dear. A cola etc is 15 dhms, about £3. If you buy a souvenir plastic cup for 40 dhms (£8) you can get unlimited refills for 5 dhms each (80p)
Lastly the food. quite a good selection, very nice, BUT, It never changed. Apart from on themed nights when there is a very slight difference!
Sorry it's a bit long, but if this helps at least one person, I've not wasted my time.
Have a great time here, We certainly did.. Any Questions you may have, please email me via Trip advisor

Room Tip: East side is nearer to the water park and monorail.

It is shame you feel like you are constantly watching the spend, whilst trying to take in this great place, the kids had an absolute blast, and as such so did we!... chocolate fondue for breakfast, waterpark all day, awesome food in the evening, what isnt there to love. The decor is rather obvious opulence, maybe a little too disney world. and the prices very high, get hold of entertainer vouchers before you go, its the only way to play it

Room Tip: If you can keep your wits about you at a 4am checkin, good chance you can negotiate a decent upgrade...

The Atlantis is a magnificent hotel. From the moment you walk into the reception you will be blown away. As we were a honeymoon couple the receptionist upgraded our room free of charge and we had a beautiful view of the pool etc. The staff could not have been nicer. The room was spotless and luxurious and was turned down in the evening. The hotel itself has great facilities with a great selection of restaurants and shops. The aquarium was amazing and you also have complimentary access to the watermark, which is out of this world. The pool area and beach are perfect for those of us who just want to relax and get some sun.

I could not recommend the hotel high enough.

The only down side is the queue for breakfast in the morning, but its worth waiting for!

After spending 3 fantastic holidays at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and feeling spoilt rotten, Atlantis had a lot to live up to! The main differences we felt were the little touches, JBH being more personal, choice of pillows, less crowded, no jellyfish in the sea, nicer pools (just our opinion). However Atlantis was great, expensive, big, brash, visually stunning, impressive, great staff and good food. Having read loads of reviews we requested a high room in the West Tower and ended up with floor 8 in the East! But... the room was lovely!! The minor negatives were the expensive food prices, loss of the personal touch and being on the Palm so not as easily accessible to the Malls etc. as JBH. We would rate Atlantis 8.5/10 and JBH 9.5/10.

Room Tip: Don't worry about which room you get - they are all great!

I stay at the Atlantis every time I stop in Dubai on my way to Europe. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, clean, quiet, has nice beach and pools, fantastic restaurants, heaps of shops and it's great fun! Most of the staff is helpful and friendly. Perfect hotel for a relaxing day stopover or for a long vacation. Dolphin experience is a must!!!!!

Room Tip: If you can choose top floors and city view room, great Dubai views.

I travel all over the world on business and I am lucky enough to take my family with me sometimes. The Atlantis Dubai has been the place of choice by the four of us for 4 years running now. It just has it all. The Aqua Adventure Park, the many different pools, the Dolphin Bay, the very large aquarium, the spectacular views, the cleanliness, the friendly staff, and the variation of many beautiful and different food choices. The rooms are a very good size for a family of four along with a lovely bathroom. If you have an Imperial Club room you do benefit from many extras regarding drink and food but the room type/size stays the same. This is not really a typical business hotel due to its size/type/location but definitely much more of a family hotel with no expense spared. Truly remarkable from design and attention to detail. When booking this hotel try to find the deal with breakfast included. The breakfast which can be eaten at two or three different restaurants is truly wonderful. There is so much choice and variation. It is so well organised considering the amount of people all asking for different things at the same time. If you do not get the breakfast included it can be very expensive. I think approx £25 per person!! 4 people, one week. Ouch!! October is one of the best times to go as the unbearable heat from the three previous months is tailing off and you get lovely clear blue skies with 36c - 38c temps. The whole family really enjoy this hotel and all the people involved in making our holiday an unforgettable one including our room cleaner who every day made our children different animals out of towels!!.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in September on a half board basis.

We came to dubai two years ago staying elsewhere and visited the hotel purely for the aquarium and we was so amazed by the hotel that we promised that we would stay at the Atlantis when we next visited Dubai.

Our holiday was amazing from the start, the transfer from Dubai airport took around 40 minutes and we arrived at the hotel about 9.30pm. There was no queue at check in at this time of day and was kindly upgraded to a palm view room on the seventh floor. We got given food vouchers at check-in as we was on a half board basis (2 vouchers per day per person) and we was able to use them for lunch instead of an evening meal which gave us more flexibilty and enabled us to eat out if we wanted to.

Lil Jon (a famous American rapper) performed at an event on our first night and although we had to pay an entrance fee to get in to the event, it was a highlight of our holiday. If you like this sort of event it is worth researching dates online before you book to come to Dubai.

All staff members that we spoke to were really friendly and could not fault the service at all. The aquarium is out of this world and unlimited free access to the water park was a bonus as we liked to go for a couple of hours each day.

We purchased an Entertainer Dubai voucher book before of holiday which contains hundreds for 2 for 1 vouchers for restaurants and attractions and some can be used at the Atlantis.

We will almost defiantly be staying at the Atlantis on our next visit as it suits us perfectly but we would defiantly like to stay for at least 7 nights next time if we manage to get a good deal.

Please feel free to ask me any questions.
