We recently spent three days at the Atlantis with our 8 year old and were not disappointed. The rooms come at a premium with even standard rooms starting at around $300. We took an executive suite as a splurge but we were not disappointed. It was a beautifully appointed room with a spacious sitting room with couches and a small breakfast table and flat screen TV. The bedroom had another flatscreen and large comfortable bed. This was all facing out on the huge balcony that included a table and four chairs and two sunloungers overlooking the Palm.
The bathroom was the highlight of the room with an enormous tub, separate shower, dressing room and two sinks.
The porters, valets and room service staff were top notch. The best was the room service "maid" who kept leaving cute animals made out of folded bath towels for our daughter. They went above and beyond.
The rest of the hotel is, like Dubai, unbelieveable. There is a beautiful lobby area adorned with glass sculptures and murals. The spa is one of the most beautiful my wife and I have ever seen and it is connected to a health club that takes the idea of hotel "Gym' to a new level.
The shopping mall is small but with some big name jewelry stores. There are a variety of restaurants from family fare to gourmet Japanese and Lebanese.
The beaches and pools are more than adequate for keeping the little ones occupied while the grown ups sun themselves but the key family attraction is the water park, Aquaventure. They have rides and activities for kids from the age of 3 all the way up to the Ziggurat water slide which will make your hair turn white.
We did the Dolphin adventure which included swimming with a dolphin in a group of six people. We got to get a kiss from the dolphin, dance with the dolphin and finally have it pull us across the pool. Truly a memorable experience. So was the photo package for sale afterwards at nearly $200 for the photos on a flash drive. They were excellent photos but wow.
Lest I forget, there is a beautiful aquarium in the hotel which can be seen from the restaurant areas for free or via access to "The Lost Chambers" which gives a much closer look at the fish and some of the other creatures such as jellyfish and horseshoe crabs.

All in all, a very expensive adventure but the service was excellent, the food was top notch, the room was perfect and our daughter was happy.
We will go back again.

Went here in June last year as part of our honeymoon 11 days ''LUX Grand Gaube Mauritius'' and 5 days here. we arrived 3Am and a car from the hotel picked us up from the airport to the hotel the hotel at night is amazing looking, when we got out it was very entertaining what we seen( ill get back to this) the porter took car of the bags and i was handed a ticket. we checked in and the girl asked was it our first time here i said yes we are on honeymoon. i was told to hold on a minute she said we where being changed rooms- we got an Imperial room , one up from a standard room( literally double the price!) . by the time it took us to get up to the new room our bags where already there,

the rooms are no way worth the charges , but then again its Dubai you can by a bar of gold in a vending machine( no seriously look in the airport and Dubai Mall!!)

breakfast was included and had a massive selection catered for everyone. the water park is free in and so is the Atlantis adventure tour thing.

the water park is fine weekdays but at the weekend it is very busy. also
there is a bar/nightclub on site also but being Dubai alcohol is illegal and only sold in hotels so is a premium 11USD for a beer or 10USD for a cocktail. its an experience you will see guys spending 1500USD on a bottle of Grey goose vodka and this is peanuts. if you are going here dont queue up , just go up the rad carpet and show your hotel card , its a very ''elite'' club so never know who you may see.

the restaurant prices in the hotel are expensive, but it is Michelin star restaurants so suppose on par?
At night the hotel does change alot as mentioned in a few reviews. when we arrived we seen two girls (escorts) standing outside and a guy with them a ''wadd'' of money was passed over and they got into his car, which was an Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG - this this a a bloody F1 pace car!!! you will see them thought the hotel/nightclub but they aren't the usual ''TV'' escorts. if you have kids just keep an eye out, as i wouldn't like to explain that situation lol

Dont be afraid to go out in dubai, the malls, the sooks etc it is fine and friendly enough.dont forget to haggle in the sooks - its very interesting :-)

Also if you facing Skiing, you can do it int he Mall!

the hotel is western law not Muslim so females can in context wear what they want. in the mall, just cover up slightly, my wife wore normal ''holiday'' dressy items but had a throw over her shoulders.
Some males can be rude just ignore it , but if its in the hotel - dont we met up with a couple and the both girls got grief from two older guys for wearing bikinis. it didn't last long once security was informed they where moved, it is western law in the hotel so all must respect each others cultural aspects.

the pools in the hotel are well- massive and the beach is amazing the water is warm , just check the signs, there may be small jelly fish in the warms- its well signed.

the hotel overall is an experience , so go there .but try and get a good deal on it. we priced it this year again and it was nearly cheaper to split the holiday with the Maldives and dubai , than it was just to do dubai!

A short break at a special hotel to celebrate a speciual occassion and we have to say the hotle lived up to all of it's expectations! Stayed in an Imperial Room and the lounge was just great for a bit of relaxation and the odd drink and snack....true, prices are expensive, but if you stay in a hotel of this calibre, that has to be expected. The staff were brilliant and attentive and the Imperial "team" were really good. Watching the fish in the aquarium is spellbinding and captivating.

Nice surprise of cold towels, ices and sunglass cleaning around the pool and beach area

Would recommend and would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Imperial Club - worth the exdstra cost for the convenience

Spent a night in Atlantis which was great for what we required - we didn't want to go shopping, visit Dubai (having been numerous times before) but wanted a destination hotel with a spa and things to do on site (including decent restaurants).

The hotel however is pretty average.

Rooms were unimpressive, we had an "Imperial club room" which I doubt was any bigger than any other room although benefited from the club lounge which served pretty good food at various times during the day (we ate an early dinner there before heading back to the airport). The water park is not as good as Wild Wadi and the aquarium is interesting but uninformative. Finally the spa is adequate without being impressive.

One big plus was the restaurants. Nobu was fantastic and a much better menu than in either in London and Locatelli offered some great Italian cuisine. We ate far too much at both! There was also a great breakfast buffet at the LG floor restaurant in the East Wing which offered a massive choice - who doesn't like Dim Sum, sweet and sour chicken and fried eggs and bacon for breakfast (intersperced with Dal and a chocolate fountain).

So all in all average but if you are looking for a short get-away in Dubai this provides something different. It was also great to see the Palm itself first hand.

Finally the place was very popular with Russians so much so that as I am lighter skinned, I was often asked by the staff if I was as well...

This is one of my favorite places to stay in ! Just for the aquaventure otherwise, the hotel is like a hollow building where sounds echo, and overpriced shops like Rodeo Drive. The rooms are nice though. There is not much to the beach, but the pool is nice and good food served at the pool. One of the reasons I have stayed at the hotel is for its infamous Nasimi beach parties that are great. Other than that Im not a big fan.

I went with my family to stay in Atlantis for a holiday. We had taken three rooms. I was told by the hotel staff that the hospitality lounge will be sufficient for us as we arrived there by 9AM and check-in is 2 PM. The 10 of us including three children had to wait till 5PM to get our rooms. The excuse was the rooms are full and many guest did not check-out on time.We waisted our one day sitting in the lounge. By the time we got the room we were exhausted ,children were irritated and sleeplessness did not allow us to enjoy the day. Second day we went to the theme park which was over crowded.

I had requested well in advance a surprise party for my niece who was celebrating her 12th birthday. They simply send through a waitress one cake for the same.

The only good part was the food was delicious in all the restaurants and in room dining.
