“Best holiday ever with kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2011

Just back and had a fantastic time.We used the water park daily and loved it,then onto pools and beach late afternoon as sun goes behind hotel giving shade to these areas. Can use the pool up to midnight,we left just after 7 .30 pm in the dark but it was busy, all lit up beautifully, air and water so warm that it was a beautiful experience, people were ordering their dinner to eat there bought to their beds. Nothing seems too much trouble as the staff are all lovely, towels avaliable all the time by pools and beach and so many lifeguards around many which like to have a bit of fun. The restaurants were all fab that i used, the french, italian, lebanese and two buffets which were amazing. I was happy in the buffets but just wanted to try the others and was glad i did,my favourite was the french as they had the most amazing pattisserie....the cakes were huge but you could eat them as they tasted so beautiful but you did nt feel sick even if full, dont know how they managed that..Kids can eat sweets ,marshmallows and cut fruits dipped in the huge chocolate fountain at every meal incredibly in the buffets, its a kids dream. My 6 year old loved this place and only wants to come here now as been spoiled. He watched the kids cartoons in the bath while drinking fruit juice with strawberry cheesecake in our room just because you can....your on holiday. It really is a luxury place. The aquarium is amazing, its so huge, these big walls of water everywhere filled with different fish is great to watch, you never get bored off ;looking. My son fed the Rays in the shark tank and the giant grouper fish on a back of house tour showing you how the aquarium works, wanted to swim with the dolphins but will have to do that another time as we were alone and they said i had to be with him, which was fine ,but i had to pay full price even though i did nt want to do it myself.I was nt prepared to pay that much money for 30 mins of fun as i know he can do it elsewhere a lot cheaper or when he old enough i dont have to be next to him.that was my only gripe. About the rooms, were spacious and very comfortable, the water is cooled coming through the taps,if your told you have a french balcony then this just the rail outside your sliding doors but no space to walk on so if you like to sit out then tell reception this.We were on floor 18 and was quite high as im not keen but i managed it as was only a small space and did nt go right up to the railings. You will love this hotel as it sets a standard that i dont think i can give up now so will be back.

This is by sure one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in! Yes, it is very expensive, probably a bit overpriced, but all the facilities make up for it. We have a 14 year old son and he really loved the Teen club (Club Rush).
We stayed at the Atlantis 2 times in a 3 week period. Our first stay we booked an Atlantis Room, which was a very nice sized room, overlooking one of the 3 swimming pools. We booked a package deal with Emirates airlines, which saves a lot of money and includes breakfast. The second time we upgraded to a Club Room, but we will not recommend this to anyone. First of all, the Club lounge feels more like a childrens' daycare centre. Every time we went up to the lounge they ran out of snacks, because the children would take plates full of it (and of course were not able to finish it!). You pay an awful lot for a Club room, but it is not worth the money. Unlike other Club rooms we stayed in, the rooms are not any difference than the standard rooms, just the entrance to the lounge.
I would suggest the hotel to make 2 different lounges, one for business people and families with older children, and one for families with small children.

The overall service in the hotel is really excellent. They are all very friendly and helpful!
The free shuttle service to all shopping malls and outlet, is an added value as well.
We stayed in summer time (July) and the weather was unbelievably hot! The free entrance to the Waterpark was very nice to cool off a bit.

We also enjoyed the excellent food at Kaleidoscope (buffet dinner and breakfast), Seafire restaurant (grill) and Ronda (breakfast buffet). The quality is excellent and a lot of choice in hot/cold dishes.

The giant fish tank in the middle of the hotel is beautiful! The hotel spend a lot of time and money on every detail in the whole hotel.

We will definitely come back, but won't stay at the Club Floor again!

The stay was wonderful. We took advantage of the low summer rates which made it cost-free to stay over night when compared with the cost of four people buying two day passes to the waterpark and one each to the Lost Caverns aquarium.

The hotel interior and grounds are beautiful. We ate at the Saffron Asian buffet which was spectacular. The room was very nice, but did not exceed expectations. The staff is friendly, professional and very well trained.

If you don't enjoy your stay at the Atlantis, it is your own fault.

Room Tip: Arrive as early as you can, because you can enjoy the facilites, including the waterpark, even if th...

Ok so when we booked our trip and told friends and family we were going to Dubai in August everyone said we were mad as it would be so hot. Fact is that in August tere are some great deals to be had and its not peak season. It was also Ramadan whilst we were there but this changes to other months I am told. So the truth about the heat Ramadan and all things Atlantis.. We arrived at the airport at 8 am and coming out the air con the heat hit us like someone blowing a hot hairdryer at us but we were soon in the aircon taxi and off to atlantis. When we arrived we were in awe from the start. the 20 foot glass sculpture in the reception, cold towels on arrival and checkin desk that was never busy ( i checked everytime i went through the lobby). We were very lucky to stay in the East Tower which was the better side if the hotel and where the aquarium .lost chambers, most of the restaurants and short cut to the waterpark was - try and get on that side of the building as it will save you a walk. Waterpark was briliant we went every day and with our factor 50 and sun vest we( including my red head daughter) didn't get burnt but take care sun is strong. Whilst in the water you d not notice how hot it is but as soon as you get out you feel it. Its too hot to walk for any distance or sunbathe safely but fine for everything else. In Ramadan you can eat and drink on site but no alcohol( which didn't bother us) and frankly in that heat would go straight to your head. Be warned thought if visiting in Ramadan - then no eating or drinking ( even water) in public so in shopping malls until sunset etc. We found this a little difficult but soon got used to going out later in the day if going outside the hotel. Although the hotel had 1500 rooms it was so quiet and service was never impeded. Another benefit of going in august is the half board deal for three course meal in most restaurants onsite and there is a greatchoice. We loved Rostang for french food and great steak and my daughter found Saffron( buffet in west tower) amazing as it had a chocolate fountian with marshmallow on sticks for breakfast. Ronda locatelli also good and for fast food the kids loved shark bites. Buy the souvenir cups which are refillable at approx a £1 each time well worth initial cost. Also within 1 hr drive of dubai is abu dhabi and ferarri world theme park we didn't get to go as some ride weren't working but its meant to be great. The room in the hotel was plenty spacious ( deluxe room) for 2+2 and nice large bathroom. Lovely comfy pillows and one of the most comfy hotel beds Ive slept in crucially not to hard. great place for 1 week holiday with kids and the aquarium visible in the lobby never ceased to amaze everyday we stopped and looked at new sharks or fish we hadn't seen. Lost chambers also free for hotel guests, Dont forget the dolphin experience on site as well pricy but worth it for the experience. Overall a great family hotel and we will go back. Only doenside is that nothing is particularly cheap as I had been lead to believe and food and drink pricy ie £50 for fast food meal for 4 people

Room Tip: Ask for room in East tower

Just arrived back after spending 3 nights at the Atlantis for my partners 60th birthday.
The staff were fantastic. Everyone seemed happy in their work and nothing was too much trouble. He was given a birthday card, chocolates and a birthday cake which was such a nice gesture and made his birthday that bit more special.
The hotel is so beautiful. Excellent restaurants so hard to choose which was the best.
We paid extra for the Imperial Club package. This included a private car pick up from the airport to and from the hotel. We had a fabulous room on the 15th floor with views to die for. Also was afternoon tea, 3-00 - 500, nibbles and canopes, 6-00 till 8-00 and drinks 8-00 till 10-00. We also had half board which meant we could eat either at lunch or dinner in a variety of different restaurants. Needles to say they were all fantastic. There was always a supply of fresh fruit and water in the room together with the most luxurious toiletries. We also had bathrobes, slippers and flip flops.
The Aquarium and Aqua Park were really good and the pools, beach and gardens were spotlessly clean and well cared for..
I have never stayed in such a beautiful hotel before where everyone made sure it was a most enjoyable time.
My thanks to all the staff and management for making our holiday so special.

Stopped at the Atlantis from 8 Aug to 12 Aug. Had originally booked into Atlantis room on half board, but on arrival booked the Imperial club package as well to upgrade us further. It is worth noting that we negotiated the price of this package with the hotel on arrival, saving a considerable sum on the initial price quoted.

Room was excellent, and the staff at the hotel are so attentive, especially those in the imperial lounge. Everywhere is immaculate

Waterpark was great fun and not too crowded. Although it was ramadam, this did not seem to affect the facilities or running of the hotel.

On a couple of occasions we needed to queery restaurant items that appeared on our bill, so watch out for this as drinks can be expensive.

Food was good quality and plenty of choice. All in all a great hotel in a fantastic location, with really attentative staff.

Just returned from the Atlantis and loved every minute of it. Pure luxury everywhere!! We arrived at 9am and managed to check in straight away. All the staff were helpful - they just can't do enough for you. August is very hot though, 40 degrees for the 5 days we were there, but everything inside Dubai is air-conditioned and can get a bit cold. Stunning aquarium built in the hotel. Aquaventure Park next door - all free to guests staying at the resort. Restaurants were excellent - we were half board thankfully as the prices are quite steep. Drinks were very expensive - approx £3 for a can of coke. Taxis are quite reasonable & try and go half-board. It was Ramadan though, and restaurants out of the resort were all closed in the daytime. The malls were very quiet & timings of some excursions had changed due to Ramadan. Excellent ice-cream parlour in the hotel called 'Cold Stone Creamery' - Take your kids - they will love it. Overall, we loved it & cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: Not really necessary to have a room with a balcony in August - Way too hot to sit out there
