We went end of June for 7 nights, the only complaint we have is that we didn't book a longer holiday! We will be going back a.s.a.p. This hotel is out of this world! I can't praise it enough! Our room was lovely, clean bed linen everyday! endless supply of towels (how often does that happen?) and the pillows were awesome!! The whole complex is just something else especially dolphin bay ( I went in with the the kids, what an experience!). The water park is also great, lots to do or just sit on rapids and meander about for as long as you like. The staff were sooooooooo attentive , everywhere, they couldn't do enough for you. The Kaleidoscope restaurant was just ideal for families, fab choice of food for all! in fact , too much choice but I'm not complaining. We were on the 4th floor, west tower overlooking the Royal Pool, just ideal! Can't wait to go back!!!!!!! Holiday of a liifetime!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One week in the glorious sun at The Atlantis in a cold February in England seemed like a good idea. The children, 11 & 13 had the best holiday of their lives. The teenage club 'club rush' saw them more than we did! We spent 7 days at Nasimi Beach laid out on a white huge four poster bed with waiter service and no children. It all sounds good but in reality it is a huge place lacking in the personal touch that Dubai is sooooo good at. In the evenings the lobby is as busy as Old Trafford when United are playing City. A huge place lacking in the service and intimacy that smaller hotels in Dubai can offer you. We wont be going back but don't tell the children they're already facebooking the friends they made to arrange a date!!!

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The location is fantastic, the service imbeccible and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. We only booked a standard room but were offered the optional paid upgrade to the Imperial club rooms. I found this upgrade well worth the money as it gave my family a great full buffet breakfast everyday as well as complimentary snacks and drinks all day and into the night. Between 6-8pm they have happy hour where you can have snacks ( hot and cold) and some free alcohol ( I had Peroni beer) we found this enough food that we did not need to buy dinner, but in saying that there are numerous restaurants in the hotel. This upgrade also included free WiFi, free use of spa, sauna etc. The staff were fantastic and we did not want for anything. They went out of their way to assist us and I found them all very friendly. The water park is great fun but go early as the crowds are a lot less. Hotel guests get to go in the water park 15 mins before the general public and entry is free when staying at the hotel.
Travel tips:
Skype is not allowed in Dubai and it does not work, so if you rely on this for your communication have a plan b.
I was in a party of 4 and we found it cheaper and easier to use taxis to get around the city. The taxi drivers were friendly and polite and the fares were reasonable. They all use the same type of meter and I was never over charged.

we had a great experience at the Atlantis the palm, we arrived late around 21:00 and the check-in was quick and we were upgraded from a regular room to the imperial club on the 10th floor with a nice ocean-view as requested. The room was spacious and was very clean, i loved the idea of them providing daily magazine and room being cleaned twice a day.
yes the hotel is kinda far from the city center but wasn't hard to find a taxi infront of the hotel, in addition to multiple free bus shuttles to most malls in the city, we took Dubai mall shuttle as they have their schedule displayed in the main entrance area.
we had breakfast and dinner at the Kaleidscope, we paid for them as extra charge because we weren't sure to take half board, in general there was a wide variety and the food was very tasty.
the aquarium, aqua park were additional + and what made this hotel special, we enjoyed our time at the aquaventure as entrance was free for residents, we also enjoyed the royal pool except that it was crazy crowded most of the time..
in general a very nice experience and would like to go back and stay at the Atlantis.

We had visited the hotel many times for dining and visiting the aquarium. During Christmas it was our first time staying overnight and we were pleasantly surprised. The Atlantis Palm and Atlantis Bahamas have similarities but are also individualized. The standard room was spacious with two queen sized beds and an ocean view of the Arabian Gulf. The bath tub had sliding doors that opened to the bedroom and lovely view of the sea. Inclusive of our stay was access to the water park, aquarium and beach. It was lots of fun and beautiful, however one may need a video tutorial prior to entering the water park to simply find one's way around, finding a tube and beach chair. The resort offers a diverse choice of dining and a kids club with climbing wall and etc... All the hotel staff were professional and friendly. We had a different experience with the restaurant staff at the breakfast buffet. The server was indifferent so the restaurant manager stepped in to look after our table. Atlantis does have a bit of a "Disney" feel to it. We would definitely recommend the Atlantis, luckily they offer lots of packages throughout the year!

I am due to stay here in January for part of my Honeymoon and after reading a lot of these reviews i have mixed feelings......and i have a few gripes with peoples comments

I feel that alot of the problems people are facing are down to travel operators lack of knowledge, for instance, so many people on here complain about the prices..... Dubai is renowned for being expensive, especially for food - and you really should do your re-search before travelling somewhere!! , waterpark.... you have to pay for lockers, well yes you do at most waterparks!! You cant have everything for free, if you are there as a guest you already get the waterpark and aquarium for free, they have to charge for something for the upkeep.

Honeymooners..... no you dont get anything for being 'on honeymoon' unless you are lucky, this is the middle east, they dont really do things like that. You tour operater should have told you this, you should never just expect them to do something then you cant be disappointed, if they do then that is a bonus! I wont be expecting it becasue we were told not to!

I agree that hotel rooms should be clean, and any problems should be dealt with properly this is un acceptable. Service should be second to none in a 5* resort.

Do your research before booking, use a reputable travel agent that know what they are talking about and that have visited. If in doubt ask the questions!

However, once i have visited myself i may have a different opinion especially as far as service is concerned!

Our room was adequate but small for two adults and our two children. One of the couples we holidayed with actually had a larger room than us, and with double the wardrobe space, for just two people, and we had paid the same money. It appears as though rooms are allocated on a 'family floor' and as usual families are expected to have lower standards and less requirements for wardrobe space. Bizarre. Another let down was the (cultural?) rule that no children were allowed in the hotel bars after 9pm. This is great for those without children, but for families it means either all retiring to a small room at 9pm every evening or just Mum and kids going up to bed, whilst Dad continues socuiualising with friends unencumbered by children. Charming.
