This hotel is great. Although it is a bit far from the main city there is a lot to do here. The restaurants are great and have a huge range to choose from. The water park is also very good. We stayed in a Suite which was huge and luxurious with great views of the pool and the beach. I highly recommend this hotel but it can be a bit pricey.

We travelled with our two boys aged 2.5 and 11 months. The hotel is very impressive looking. We had a Delux room at 1450 dirhams per night and stayed 3 nights. We were on the 4th floor, the room had a balcony with sliding doors overlooking the beach. We never let our kids on the balcony alone for obvious reasons and even though we were high up the balcony was safe with supervised access for the kids. The room itself had flat screen TV and tea/coffee facilities, if you use the mini bar expect to pay through your nose) The décor seemed a bit dated for some reason (in comparison to the look of the building) but the room was large enough with a full bathroom, walk in shower and enough space for us all. The Hotel gave us (FOC) two travel cots (which were more like full sized cots) for our two boys. The cleaning staff was fantastic and very friendly. Room service was good too. The beach is excellent and the sea is warm. The hotel swimming pools are great however the water park next door is fantastic, you must go, we went every day with our complimentary passes from the hotel. There are life guards everywhere so you can tell that safety is a priority. The food at the Atlantis is (in my opinion) slightly above average and way over priced so make sure you have some money put aside if you want to dine in. If you want to dine out you can take a cab down town for about 60 dirhams and eat out, we found a fantastic buffet restaurant (eat as much as you like for a fixed cost). Ask the taxi driver for details.
With regards to the taxis outside the hotel, we wanted to go to the Dubai mall, and he charged us 120 dirhams (as we got in he said it’s the same fair as regular taxis) but obviously we had to take a metered taxi back to the Atlantis and it worked out to 65 dirhams. I gave the taxi company a good telling off and even told the hotel that they were ripping the guests off. The taxi company gave me a few free rides after that. Make sure they don’t rip you off, if they do, then kick up a fuss and complain.
To summarise – this hotel is great but slightly out of the way, make sure you eat out it’s a far better dining experience and cheaper too.
We also hired a car and drove to Abu Dhabi, if you choose to hire a car, make sure you get a SatNav as it will help you out (even though the highway signs are good) also be care full of the speed limit as it changes frequently so look out for the signs. I was told that you need an international driving licence so I got one, but the rental company weren’t too bothered – I advise you to get one just in case.

We hadn't stayed at atlantis since the opening a few years ago. As we now live nearby we decided to give it another go hoping the service had improved which to be fair it had.

The room was great although the noise from parties at nasimi beach was annoying when we werentrying to sleep despite us being at the other end of the hotel. We booked a club room and the lounge was good. The booking was completely missed up and we ended up being charged about 600 pounds twice for a dolphin experience which we are still trying to get a refund for - so annoying. Dolphin experience was a little touristy but you do get up close and we all really enjoyed it.

Food at Ronda locatelli was good quality and there was a nice touch of a birthday cake (although they initially didn't have a record of our booking despite a confirmation e mail). The same happened with the dolphin booking although they did squeeze us in -not an experience you want to repeat with children who have been excited for weeks and then think it's all cancelled.

Pool area was great and service at pool bar/restaurant was friendly.

The main thing that spoils Atlantis is that it is so crowded all the time in the mainbhotel areas and many restaurants are so huge it feels like a holiday camo, albeit a good one.
We returned against our better judgement and whilst it wasn't all bad we won't be back. Much better hotelsnin dubai that really are luxury and not mass tourist traps.

I had the choice of booking a cheap hotel to save money to visit places in Dubai, or spend lots on a hotel in which I'd actually use the facilities.

Looks like I made the right choice, The Atlantis was amazing and had more things for us to do in a week than we had time for. With our booking we had unlimited access to the lost chambers, the Atlantis water park, and the private beach and pools. The place also has some of dubais top restaurants (we loved Nobu!).

I can't recommend this place enough. It would ideally suit a honeymoon or family holiday.

If I had to pick a bad point about the hotel it would probably be about the noise from the road outside. Their are room facing the beach or the open sea. Pick the beach! The side facing the sea is also where the main road is. And whilst you relax at night with the door open and a cool breeze and the moonlight, suddenly you're awoken at 3am by some c*** in a Ferrari! There should seriously be a restriction on loud cars at night! This was almost every night.

Otherwise, quite honestly, The Atlantis is one of the best hotels in the world.

Stayed at The Palm Atlantis for 3 nights, with my husband and two boys aged 16 and 12. 3 nights is too short a stay to appreciate what this massive place has to offer. Water park is great fun and free to residents so we used it every day! The Lost Chambers makes the London Aquarium seem like a goldfish bowl in comparism.
We booked the Royal Swim with the dolphins which was just fantastic, despite the cost it was a privelige to be able to come so close to this wonderful creatures.
The rooms were massive too. Only downside is the cost of the drinks and meals in the restaurants.

We tagged a couple of nights at the Atlantis onto our holiday in the Maldives to break up the long journey home. As a package booked through Kuoni it cost just £200 for 2 nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis (the evening meal would have cost £40 per night as a 'walk in'. The room was large, clean & comfortable and the hotel, whilst massive, certainly had the WOW factor with it's large scale art, enormous aquarium and impressive watermark (all free to guests). It was a bit like a Disney resort but it was done on a scale and a budget that you couldn't fail to be impressed with.
Breakfast was very busy with latecomers having to queue but was well worth it and, quite simply, was the best buffet style breakfast we've ever had.
Dubai itself wasn't that exciting but that's a different review.

Room Tip: I don't think they have bad ones!

We stayed at the Atlantis for 3 nights for our honeymoon. The service was outstanding and everything is provided within the hotel. Breakfast was out of this world in the Saffron restaurant. The water park was amazing and we visited twice in our short stay. Dubai as a whole was like a dream and Atlantis exceeded our expectations!
