“Brilliant Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2011

Wonderful hotel with fabulous choice of restaurants....... we tried a different restaurant every night - the food is second to non! Very pricey but worth it!! Staff all very helpful..........Highlight of our stay would definitely be swimming with the dolphins.... even though it was very expensive - you also have to add the cost of purchasing the pictures - was the best thing I have even done!! BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT!

All in all an impressive hotel with great outdoor facilities and very friendly staff however when considering that Dubai is full of great hotels the money charged by Atlantis does not offer value for money, it is let down by small things but when paying for luxury holdays the small things matter.......Booked for a week staying in a room on the Imperial Club floors, one roon with an extra bed for our 3 yr old son, also booked airport transfers. I arrived in Dubai on a different flight from my wife and son and checked in at the Atlantis desk, no receord of my transfer booking, after over an hour it was confirmed. Arrived at the hotel and no record of the extra bed request for my son, this was remedied but it took over an hour again. All good with breakfast in the Imperial Club, friendly staff if a little disorganised, no welcome pack was handed out nor was any information offered with regard to the booking made at Dolphin Bay. On the second night we were all kept awake until 3am by the noise from the beachside nightclub, when I asked at the Club lounge if this was a regular occurence i was told it goes on every night and if i wanted i could move to another quieter room...i did ask why it was thought ok to put a family with a small child in such a noisy room but was not given an answer! Please note we were on the 12th Floor and could hear the noise! We moved rooms and again no extra bed......On our final evening i reconfirmed the hotel car for the airport transfer and again no record of the booking and was also overcharged for the room, an error which took 2 hours to resolve.

I stayed at The Atlantis Palm Hotel for 13 days. Their service was terrible and they rip you off. Not worth the hype. Go to Jumeriah Beach Hotel If you want the best service and overall enjoyment.

We went and stayed for 4 nights. I was worried when I made the booking and was told that they cannot guarantee us a non-smoking room. This is the first time i experienced something like this. Even after i told them that my son is highly allergic to smoke and cannot sleep in a smoking room, they still say they can make a request but cannot guarantee that we will get one. This policy should be changed. The only thing we could do to ensure our holiday is not spoiled, is to get to the hotel as early as possible. Directions to the hotel is not clear. No where in front of the hotel is signs that will indicate where you can enter to get to the main entrance. You will only see signs that states WEST Tower etc. so after several turn arounds we were told by the security guard to enter at the signs that says west tower. At check in the guy was very friendly and he found us a non-smoking room that was already available at 09:00. The hotel is very beautiful and the rooms great. There is a lot of restaurants to choose from but beware - both food and drinks are very pricy. The chldren will enjoy the aquaruim (Lost Chambers) and the water park as well as Dolpin Bay where you can interact with the dolphins. The waterpark is very spacious so even on a busy day you will not feel that the place is overcrowded. Que for the rides will be long on busy days. We found the floor where we stayed a bit noisy but it was due to the other guests who had no decency to be quiet or keeping their children quiet at night. This was a disturbance every night during our stay which meant we could not have a good nights sleep. Unfortunately the hotel personnel could not do much as these noisy guests - one family - booked several rooms and suites so they spent lot of money and should be allowed to do whatever they want. Again management should change their policy regarding this as my one room i booked also means i'm a guest and should be treated well too. Great hotel for families but next time i will insist on a room that is not close to the suites where guests feel they are in charge of the hotel.

You cant fail to be impressed by the fabulous building and surroundings. It is a childrens paradise! The selection of pools are wonderful (although a tad chilly in Feb - alright once you are in!). The hotel is pristine and has a vast selection of restaurants catering for all tastes. They all have childrens menus too which is great if you want something more unusual, the children can stll have normal if the prefer. The aquarium is enormous and you can go into the lost chambers which is great to see all the different types of sealife - jellyfish amazing!
The water park is adjoining the hotel and is free to hotel guests, both the children loved it. There is a large play area with slides, water buckets and more for the younger children, then approx 8 bigger water slides for children over 1.2m plus the lazy river, rapids and torrents for all to enjoy. My husband usually hates water parks but was converted here as even though busy (half term!) it wasnt overcrowded so you could get a sun bed and relax in between the rides.
The beach is fabulous - again loads of beds, staff to bring you drinks and take lunch orders - very spoilt indeed.
It is obviously not cheap - it is 5 star - but if you can get the half board option it is well worth it as the majority of the restuarants are available to use. Drinks quite expensive too but I suppose it is to be expected in a 5 star hotel.
Overall a fantastic time, we all really enjoyed it and will definetely be going back again next year.
We visited Dubai a few years ago and stayed at the One and Only residence and spa which was fab for just couples but this is the best place we have stayed in Dubai for the family.

Stayed at Atlantis, Dubai. This is an amazing hotel with its opulance however, it is totally targeted at families with children. As my husband and I do not have any children we found it very noisy and extremely busy as the hotel is opened to the public. We found we had to push our way through crowds of tourists who were visiting the hotel for the day. If you are looking for a quiet hotel stay this is not the place to do it. Apart from the crowds and the fact that you can heard everything that is going on it the rooms next to you we enjoyed our stay. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and could not do enough for us. the restaurants ae penalty and the attractions i.e Lost Chambers and Dolphin Bay and pools are amazing.
