“Beautiful but ...”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

the water of the river is gone and this is killing the monument. I prefer the bridge from the Si-o-Se bridge. You will find people that sign here and in the night it is so beautiful.

“Relaxation”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is one of the most beautiful ancient bridge on Zayendeh Rood. You can seat very close to the river, drink a cup of tea and enjoy amateur, or even professional singers voice at the same time.

“very beautiful place”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

This place - and the city of Esfahan is a very beautiful place. The market surrounding the square is fascinating! Try to find the small teahouse in the basement under the east side of the bazaar

“Khaju Bridge, Pol-e Khaju”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

One of the most beautiful Safavid era bridges over the Zayande Rud River, a perfect example of Safavid architecture with arches & decorated octagonal tea pavilions overlooking the river.
It serves as a bridge as well as a weir or dam. The sides along the Zayande Rud have beautiful broad walkways lined with colorful flower gardens and topiary. An excellent place for relaxation.

“Pol-e-Khaju, Khaju Bridge”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

One of the finest examples of Persian architecture of the Safavid Period with ornate artistic tiling & octagonal pavilions with painted ceilings serving as tea houses. Built by Shah Abbas II around 1650 AD, to link the Khaju quarter on the North bank to the old Zoroastrian quarter.

Located on the beautiful Zayande Rud (River) that surfaces in the Zagros Mountains from its melting snows and flows east into the Kavir desert.
The water flow is regulated by sluice gates and its structure serves both as a dam or weir and the bridge. It has 24 arches and is 133 meters long.

The pathways along the Zayande River are lined with beautiful walkways, picturesque well-kept gardens with topiary. A beautiful spot in a beautiful city.
