We spent three days at Beit el Nessim in Tripoli in early June and cannot recommend it enough. Nabil Najjar has undertaken a labour of love to refurbish an old house in the Mina area of the city and the results are fantastic. Much more a 'home stay' than a hotel, this is perfect for adventurous travelers looking for real experiences. The narrow lanes of the precinct are wonderful to explore and sitting on the terrace garden one feels a sense of the 'real' Lebanon. Nabil and Maya are shortly opening a cafe on the ground floor. Even more reason to visit!
