This is a great little family run hotel. We paid 50 USD (or was it €?) for a clean double room with fridge and TV, our own bathroom and even an air con (although when their is a blackout and they run on their local generator you can't use it).

The family running it is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, in the middle of the city with walking distance to the souk and with the main square around the corner (don't miss having water pipe, tea and backgammon in the old café on the square!).
Yet, the room was quiet, a rare thing in this part of the world.

A great place that I warmly recommend!

The location of the Hotel Koura is excellent, as it is right by the main square of Tripoli, where all the buses, mini-buses, and taxis transport from. There are also numerous places to eat nearby. The hotel itself was a very simple, but clean and comfortable. I had a single room, with two comfortable beds, and a flat screen tv. The room cost me $45 usd for the night, and included a basic breakfast. The bathroom was clean, and private. The hotel is more of a house, and is off an alley, and is on the first floor. The main room is the family's living room, and reminds me more of a hostel. This is a very basic place, but is a good deal for the money, and the family was very friendly.
