Our first visit tonight. Restaurant (Sari St branch) is clean and inviting. We were they only had buffet- no a la carte as we had hoped.
The buffet was a mix. One thing that did not help is that the ranges to keep the food warm were clearly malfunctioning, with waiters crawling around under the buffet trying to fix it.
Two choices of soup. The chicken and sweetcorn would have been nice had it not been lukewarm. The tom yum soup had a real kick and was much warmer.
Starters were limited- samosas, chicken nuggets (from China?), so - called Malaysian spring rolls and fried corned beef.
Main courses were two sorts of chicken (pretty indistinguishable), fried beef, spiced aubergine and three different types of seafood. The fish dishes were good but the chicken and rice had no real flavour, and no real Chinese taste.
You can eat as much as you like and for 59SAR a person it's fairly cheap, but it's not the finest Chinese you'll eat.
